When Bob Knight eclipsed Dean Smith for winningest mens D-I bball coach, he said as much of a great record that it is, it's simply more about longevity than anything. He was being humble, as he (and Polk) are great coaches. But it was evident for both of them this year, they were simply passed their time. Both realized it for what hopes to be the betterment for each respective program.
