For Ole Miss is interesting, but aren’t they guaranteed a NY6 bowl regardless? Does it really matter if it’s Sugar, Peach, or Fiesta?

Sugar fits the culture better. It reminds them of their good ole days when they didn't have to let the black guys play.

Yes those other bowls are nice too, but they really want that Sugah Bowl, trust me. It's like a trip back to their Vaught glory days to them.

The people above beat me to it, but they are exactly right: Sugar reminds them of their glory days (pre-integration). In modern football, non-CFP NY6 bowls are the same.

OM has been to a ton of Sugar Bowls. Fiesta would be a first and a match up with Notre Dame would be hard to pass up.

I am going to pull for Cincinnati to lose their conference champ game, and hope that OM gets Peach against Cincinnati. That’s still good, but the most disappointing NY6 scenario for them.

I’d LOVE that matchup! I’m just glad I’m reading MSU fans downplay our bowl, instead of us downplay theirs. It’s been a minute.

At least you’ve got something to root for! I get it.

Since the days of segregation, Vaught and weak *** schedules that never included Bama, pretty sure they've only been once. And that one was the result of big time cheating in their recruiting.
