Not near as well as Dawn Staley.

USCALUMNI
Rest assured Paris is out there and he’s gonna give his all to recruit and change the culture. Sometimes it is t about effort, luck plays a part too. Please don’t make me spoon feed you on how dynasty’s have been started on luck in recruiting.

Team Culture and Recruiting.

USCALUMNI

I think you have described Coach Shane Beamer... Team culture and recruiting... Listen to Marcus Lattimore when talks about Shane Beamer.

Remember, Dawn built the program from the ground up and took her about three years without the transport portal... I think Shane Beamer can get there a couple years closer with the the transport portal..

Every coach out there preaches team culture and winning? I can without a doubt inform you she does not have the market cornered on effort.

Maybe she does not have the market cornered on effort. But she has produced the results at USC that only other coaches dream of. I would put Ray Tanner in the same category for his baseball program at USC. But I think he has done a half *** job as AD and it kind of put a damper on his career. This is only my opinion though. GO COCKS

Yeah, I don't think there's anything particularly groundbreaking about what Dawn is doing. She hasn't cracked some secret code. Every coach out there in every collegiate sport in America does the same thing. She's just really, really good at it.

Maybe, but USC is not the only school from which student athletes are leaving. It will be interesting to see how this works out.

Dawn is a workaholic when it comes to recruiting. Not every USC coach has been like that. I won't name names.
Recruiting is critical at the D1 level, regardless of sport. If you don't care to recruit and would rather spend 95+% of your resources on coaching/teaching, doing so at a D-III or NAIA school is your best bet.

We have had some coaches in football and basketball that were good with the "X's and O's", but, simply LAZY when it came to recruiting.

Someone really should have told Frank this advice - he'd have multiple national championships by now if he would have just did what Dawn did. But instead he was fired.

Do you know personally how much she works and how many hours she puts into recruiting per day. I’m sure the answer is “no”. So do yourself a favor, you can’t emphatically say what she does or how she does it, we just know the results. We don’t exactly know the exact amount of effort FM put into recruiting. So anyone guessing out there is doing exactly that. GUESSING

Need to follow the Dawn Staley Model.

What model is that????? Lol? Trying hard to win?
She has certainly built something special that recruits want to be a part of and has gotten national attention for USC. Other coaches have gotten us to this point in other sports but failed to sustain the momentum and take advantage. Based on what Dawn has shown so far with her recruiting in current and future classes, I don't see her letting that happen. Her teams are very closely knit and self sacrificing. So much so that star players are willing sit on the bench and wait their turn for playing time to help the team and be a part of something special. We shall see, but I wouldn't bet against her.

All USC coaches don’t have the recognition that Dawn Staley has so recruiting will be much harder for them than it is for her. IMO.

I know nothing about swimming/diving, but with Auburn's reputation, I would think their coach has an easier time recruiting than most. Whatever your sport, you'll know who the top coaches are.

She definitely has the recognition factor but has continued to build it and not rest on her laurels. College Player, WNBA, college coach, Olympics coach, national championship coach, 2nd NC - and she's not letting up. Takes advantage of every opportunity given. That's how a reputable program is built.

And there's nothing wrong with that. Focus on your strengths and passions. You may not get rich, but you will live comfortably.
