Turns out, the transfer of day-to-day athletic director duties has taken place a little earlier than expected.</font></font></p>

<font face="tahoma,arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="2"><font face="tahoma,arial,helvetica,sans-serif" size="2">Greg Byrne is in charge of the day-to-day operation of the athletic department, effective June 11, Watson said. We know that Byrne moved into Templeton's old office on the second floor of the Bryan Athletic Administration Building last week.</font></font></p>

"He came to me there and told me that since he had the role in Omaha with the baseball committee, he actually wanted to go ahead and transfer the day-to-day responsibilities," Watson said.
