Reading the Pack or listening to his coach. Lemonis said in his presser that we are pressing at the plate and swinging at balls outside the zone.

ETA: Eight batters, Eight 3-ball counts, six walks

5 runs on 1 hit. This is what happens when a bad team runs out of pitching. Should be a run rule win.

Apparently some of you don't think we're better. Pitching is better, we're below a 9 ERA, and hitting and fielding will come around. We just need to improve our hitting, pitching, and fielding and when that happens, we'll be even better.

I don't understand not letting Jordan loose on a 3-0 count. That pitcher just grooved one down the middle knowing he wasn't going to swing. Jordan would have put that in the lofts.

Stupid unwritten baseball rule. Let your best hitter hit in the best hitting count there is. Same concept as a pitcher wasting a pitch on 0-2. Saw an interview with Greg Maddox the other day. He never wasted that pitch, because it’s the worst count for a hitter. Said he’d probably lead the league in 0-2 hits given up. But he’d also lead the league in 0-2 counts he got the batter out.

I feel like doing my best Clark Griswold impersonation when he’s putting up Christmas lights. This is the EXACT same crap they put us through last year: go up with great leads only to 17 it all away. This just isn’t normal. Not normal for college teams. Not to do on a consistent basis.
Now on to the 9th to strike out looking!

Austin Peay is for real. Just yesterday they beat an SEC team with a great baseball tradition, a Natty and at their stadium. Not surprised by this score.

Anyway, this pretty much sucks. Polk's last year and Cohen's first two were nothing special but the team improved. This three-year stretch under Lemonis is worse because there really isn't much to get excited about and no reason to think he'll figure it out with his recruits.

Yep. GM understood that the 0-2 count hitters were batting .109 against him. Make your pitch, save your arm, and get on to the next one.
Same with hitting. If you get to a 3-0 count, just sit dead red. If you get to a 3-1 count from an 0-1 count same thing. Expect a ball down the pipe.
