"Well, we got basketball ball." Now we will see how our baseball season plays out. It will be interesting to hear Jans explain this disaster.

Yep, will be interesting to listen to his explanation. Missouri’s 1st win in Starkville since 2013. Whipped at high noon in front of your own crowd. postgame radio with Neil coming up now

Meh. This was always going to be a difficult game to win after the tough loss Wednesday. Now we get a week off before we play Georgia. I expect we’ll win that & get 10 SEC wins and an 8 or so seed in the tournament. This was never a 5-seed team, no matter what Joe Lunardo said.
If we get 10 SEC wins, we will be a 5 seed at worst. More likely we will get 7 or 8 SEC wins and be around an 8-9 seed again.

Since we opened SEC play impressively with two solid wins, we are 2-5 with the both wins being in overtime. This team is on the edge of a disaster like the ladies had last year. They better get something figured out soon. There are no easy games left with the way they're playing.

Opposing teams figured out that we will let them take easy 3s so there really isn’t anything easy left.

Just for the record. SEC record of our 5 losses 29-10. SEC record of remaining teams in schedule 32-37.

SEC Record of our 4 wins, 9-22

No doubt our early league schedule was tough, but we didn't beat any of those tough teams. And we struggled mightily to put away a mid tier SEC team at home and a bottom dwelling team on the road. It's perfectly reasonable to be worried that this team might be more likely to finish 7-11 than 10-8.

But I like your optimism and hope you're right

He originally said a 2 seed before conference play started. Shows you what early projections are worth

When we played like cowards against Auburn without Broome, many on here were read to defend them. When we got blown out by Tennessee, the same crew went hunting for closet rebs or whatever. At this point, it’s obvious. We lay down. Good teams defend their home court. Good teams lose close on the road to other good teams. We are not a good team.
