Starbucks playing Thunderstruck in a commercial just doesn’t sit right with me.

Did the same folks who design the shower faucets at hotels, get into credit card tap readers? I really think every one of them operates differently. Swiping wasn’t that arduous.

I cannot envision a scenario in which our men’s team goes and wins a game in the NCAA tourney. Really sucks the fun out of the selection/seeding process.

What’s grinding your gears these days?

What would the best workaround be?? Relying on reviews just has to be exhausting these days, good luck
Competition figured it out, opened with 17 5*s day 1. The real reviews pan them.

I don't really rely on reviews, but it is exhausting to have people walk in thinking they are going to walk in on a klan meeting or me beating my wife. Heh.

The state that the USPS and the package delivery companies are in now. Since this past Fall I've never had worse service than we're getting now. Even with electronic options it there my work depends heavily on packages and envelopes getting delivered back and forth between me and customers and that is not reliable happening lately, ESPECIALLY USPS.

USPS is the absolute worst. Their tracking process is like crime reports: they only give you want they want to, not actual data unless it’s favorable.

In other news, I’m being entertained watching Cuba bemoan “human rights violations” at a UN HRC meeting.

If we have anything important that we have to send I go straight to UPS. The postal service is an unreliable joke now.

As someone who works in this industry I am floored by merchant’s POS systems and how cumbersome some of them can be. Swipe to Chip was a nightmare from the process side. It went from 2 seconds to 10 but fraud made it a necessity. The worst has to be golf course systems. I swear they all use to take 20 seconds for approval.

Tap should be better at least it is on 90% of the machines I use. Of course Walmart doesn’t have it yet because it doesn’t want to allow Digital Wallets until they come up with their own payment system.

"WalMart Pay" exists now and I use it every time I'm in there, it works pretty much flawlessly. You scan a QR code that's already on the payment screen w/ your phone and in just a few seconds you are done and have a digital receipt which I like because those paper ones always are gone when I need them or faded out already. It also gives you a 3 cent discount at the gas pumps, and in Starkville they already have the cheapest gas available even before that discount. You have to put the WalMart app on your phone but its worth it too. I can't ever find anything I'm looking for in the store and if you search in the app it tells you which aisle to go to for it. If you turn location on it will notify you which items on your list are on the aisle you are walking down too supposedly but I haven't tried that one yet.

UPS is still the most dependable for sure but that's sometimes like being the tallest midget on the basketball team.

Fed Ex Ground is the one I'm really exhausted with. Since they started using independent contractors instead of their own employees they suck so bad. Recently they were running late (after work hours on a Friday even) and instead of holding the delivery until Monday, they put 25x 27" monitors on our office porch outside the door and left, at 5:45 on a Friday afternoon. It gets better, there was a holiday on Monday so these 25 monitors were to sit on our porch w/ nobody at the office from Friday afternoon until Tuesday morning. I had left my cell phone on my desk and went back up there about 6:30 and saw all these boxes stacked up and went to see what it was and ended up unlocking the office and putting them all inside. It was lightly raining even and the wind was partially blowing it on the porch. It was just a sh-it show of a delivery. We emailed both FedEx and the shipper and chewed them a new hole. The drive said he left them because there was a light on inside the office.........

UPS prices have gone through the roof. They're at the point now they're just robbing people inside the store.
I count on that. I run an all in one shipping store so all the flavors are covered. Locally, they given up on international shipping, they just pass them to me. Also, crazy packaging I can deal with a lot better. Ups store model is built around having a 17 year old scanning Amazon qr codes.

In the last couple weeks I've gotten 2 separate notices in my P.O. Box that said I had items that I needed to sign for (certified), which isn't uncommon. The notice said if I didn't come to get them they would be sent back to sender on such and such a date (about 10 days away) I made 2 separate trips on 2 days to go sign for them and BOTH TIMES, it was certified items that WE HAD MAILED to customers that were undeliverable because of an incomplete address they had given us and a "unclaimed response". In that case USPS usually just sends them back w/ a yellow sticker on them saying they are undeliverable and puts them in our box. I asked what the hell, I had made 2 trips up there for nothing. I then asked where actually were they going to send them back to since I was the original sender? No answer, just a blank stare from a zombie doesn't give a damn employee. If Elon starts inspecting them they will have to lay off the whole office and start over again because there is nothing efficient there.

They are supposed to be changing the terminals to allow RFID where you can tap your phone like Apple Pay, Samsung Pay etc.

My kids unloading the dishwasher. I'm trying to cook red beans last night and every 17ing utensil I need for that operation is in the wrong mother 17 drawer. Gears were grindin.
Every fall I unhook my hoses and reels, drain, and put covers on the spigots. I fuss like hell if someone hooks it back up and neglects to unhook and re-drain.

Yesterday I went to wash my filthy truck. Pulled off the spigot freeze-covers. Hooked up the hose. Turned water on. The quick connect fitting and the nozzle spewed like hell; freeze damage. Lost . My . Shittt.

It’s a fit I throw every 17in year that may very well exclude me from any redemption.
