While taking my yacht thru the Robert C Byrd locks on the Ohio river, I radioed the lock master and asked for passage. He said sure, and then said, 'you fellows ever do this before?' I answered , 'Captain and crew well seasoned, sir' . The crew then said to me more like well pickled!!

Was at the Soo Locks summer of 2021 and waiting for a ship to enter the locks. The PA gives a sketch of each ship, and when I heard “Arthur Anderson” it rang a bell. The PA then says it was the last ship to see the lights of the Fitz.
The locks used to be an annual trip for the family when I was but a child.
