It's an interesting choice, for sure. Glad he's not going to UGA. Kind of thought he might stay home and do LSU and spread the Manning legacy in conference. He didn't strike me as a Bama kid.
I'm guessing the assumption is that Ewers will be jumping to the NFL in 2024.
Yeah, I don't think so. Not the warrior I know. You, apparently.

I'm the same way, usually don't open threads that I care nothing about. I think his post was honest as in who cares where he goes if not to us or in state rival. Otherwise meh. As much as you find it amusing that he posted he finds it amusing so many people give a F.I'm always amused by those who feel the need to drop in on a topic just to let you know how much they don't care.
You know what I say about topics I don't care about? Nothing.
I thought SEC fans cared about the SEC. If all of Alabama, Florida and Georgia's good players start abandoning those schools and going to Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan, you would be all "who cares"?I think his post was honest as in who cares where he goes if not to us or in state rival.
That's right. And I didn't know Texas was in the SEC. My bad.I thought SEC fans cared about the SEC. If all of Alabama, Florida and Georgia's good players start abandoning those schools and going to Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan, you would be all "who cares"?
Yes, there are obviously numerous SEC implications here.I thought SEC fans cared about the SEC. If all of Alabama, Florida and Georgia's good players start abandoning those schools and going to Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan, you would be all "who cares"?
2025 says ESPNThat's right. And I didn't know Texas was in the SEC. My bad.
That's what I thought. Texas is not in the SEC.2025 says ESPN
I don't give a flying F**K about the rest of SEC. From here on out, it's every man for themself.I thought SEC fans cared about the SEC. If all of Alabama, Florida and Georgia's good players start abandoning those schools and going to Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan, you would be all "who cares"?
Sure got a lot of hype to live up to. Bloodlines sometimes take a detour and if that doesn't get ya the pressure to live up to it does.Hook 'em Horns.
Ignore that clown, best thing I’ve ever done on a message board.Classy.
I doubt that attitude is representative of most fans at SEC schools. You really wouldn't care if the Big Ten or ACC became the dominant football conference in the land?I don't give a flying F**K about the rest of SEC. From here on out, it's every man for themself.
Whether I care or anyone else cares will have absolutely no bearing or influence on the cyclical trends in CFB.I doubt that attitude is representative of most fans at SEC schools. You really wouldn't care if the Big Ten or ACC became the dominant football conference in the land?
Gonna be interesting if the kid can live up to this level of hype. Some are already saying he will go 1 in the draft in. A few years. Stupid media!
Well, first of all, that ain't gonna happen. Secondly, get ready for the hatred. It's a distinguishing feature of this league, especially the higher a team's profile. Learn to embrace it.I thought SEC fans cared about the SEC. If all of Alabama, Florida and Georgia's good players start abandoning those schools and going to Ohio State, Penn State and Michigan, you would be all "who cares"?
Georgia thought so.I thought he was a tater lock?
They started that. In February, Texas signed 5-star Devon Campbell, 4-star Malik Agbo, 4-star Cameron Williams, 4-star Neto Umeozulu, 4-star Kelvin Banks, and 4-star Cole Hutson. Three of those top 100 players. Probably the best OL class in Texas history.Texas better start putting big NIL OL deals together or Fabio II will be flat on his hiney
I don't think it's possible for him to live up to the hype, which is somewhat unfair to him. Besides his play on the field, he's done nothing to generate all the hype. He and his family have actually tried to downplay it. In some ways, though, that only intensified the hype b/c of the mystery factor.
The hype is just a perfect storm of his abilities, his name and social media.
It's obviously a story of general interest for any college football fan, no different than checking scores on other games besides our own or even SEC games.
If he lives up to the hype....yeesh.
How elusive and ephemeral top-level success is in college football now. Y'all have had a great recruiting haul, but if Sarkisian isn't the guy...Yes, over hype is a problem. Remember the top Notre Dame QB recruit that some pundit predicted would win 2 Heismans there. Jimmy Clausen. He was okay, starting at Notre Dame 3 years and drafted in the 2nd round. But no world beater. On the other hand, the last No.1 Rivals recruit Texas got was Vince Young and he helped win a National Championship and was consensus first team All-American.
If Sark isn't the guy, they will hire someone else. Texas finally has a great AD, not like the one who hired Charlie Strong. College football is in transition, the portal and NIL and all of that make it impossible to predict what it will look like in a decade. My fear is it looks more like the NFL.How elusive and ephemeral top-level success is in college football now. Y'all have had a great recruiting haul, but if Sarkisian isn't the guy...
All they'd have to do is quit going to class altogether. If Sark isn't the guy, they will hire someone else. Texas finally has a great AD, not like the one who hired Charlie Strong. They will be able to pay someone to go for them, the way NIL money is going. All they'd have to do is quit going to class altogether.

This was my exact thought how much $ to get Mack Brown backHow elusive and ephemeral top-level success is in college football now. Y'all have had a great recruiting haul, but if Sarkisian isn't the guy...
They are gonna need them for SEC play. Texas's SEC entry probably paid a role in all those hotshots. Texas is kicking themselves for not seeing the light when they were courted by the SEC decades ago. Just glad they and Ok didn't bolt for the ACC West. They started that. You can't go home again and he's old. Chizik will be the man at UNC soon. If Sarkisian isn't the guy, they'll go young and proven. This was my exact thought how much $ to get Mack Brown back
A very rare combination, in most cases it is either one or the other. You can't go home again and he's old. Chizik will be the at UNC soon. If Sarkisian isn't the guy, they'll go young and proven.
