1) Georgia won't play for the National Title
2) Ole Miss won't be playing in any higher bowl than the Independence
3) Kentucky won't be playing in a bowl period

for the mid-majors, hence more SEC teams in. 6-6 record this year pretty much guarantees a bowl now for SEC teams.

Surely you jest about OM. Have you not heard of Snead? I heard back up DBs at Texas make top flight SEC QBs. Not to mention being one deep across the board is just another brick on the road to greatness.

They just might. They're as good a pick as any other right now.
2) Ole Miss won't be playing in any higher bowl than the Independence
I suspect the thinking there is that since we played in the Liberty last year, UM would go there and we'd go to the Indy. I don't think it's necessarily saying that UM will finish ahead of us this year.
3) Kentucky won't be playing in a bowl period
Agreed.

it has nothing to do with us, I just don't think they are good enough without some luck.

I think Georgia's schedule is too tough, and they won't backdoor in with 2 losses. Just my prediction. I actually think Florida will surprise people this year and make a run.

And that would probably be enough to get them in the Liberty/Indy range. I personally think they'll finish 5-7 and stay home, but 6-6 is only one game different.

I agree about Florida. They're going to be really good this fall.

You either having a winning season or a losing season. Also cuts out an OOC opponent. You didn't have all the 6-6 if's.

I don't like it, I just feel that way. Georgia played on pure emotion last year in my opinion, if they can recapture that momentum then they could prove me wrong but that will be tough. That was the first time Richt broke them out of mediocrity in a couple of years.

As far as Ole Miss is concerned, I'd say Indy or Papa John's.

If we can beat GT, KY, Vandy, and any two of the other SEC teams I say Music City....they'd be stupid to say we don't bring a crowd now. If a few things happen, like rolling over a Bama (who I think will lose to Clemson and start the downward spiral again) or pulling another on Auburn, I think the Peach would be chomping at the bit to get us back again.

It gives programs like MSU and UM a better chance at going to bowl, which equals more exposure, which means that we can sell our programs better and get better.

Plus, I like watching the bowls, even if it's the New Orleans Bowl.</p>

Georgia's schedule = Capital One Bowl good...

Florida has the best chance based on talent and schedule of making the BCS-NCG... Although I get the feeling it might be USC-Oklahoma this year. Anyone but Ohio State, even though they're good enough as well. The Big Ten competition should actually hurt their chances this year cause it's a better conference now with Penn State, Wisconsin, and Illinois all relevant (and on the Buckeyes' schedule)...

As for the SEC-related bowls (for now) I like:

BCS - Florida and LSU (no specifics)
Capital One - Georgia
Cotton - Auburn
Outback - Tennessee
Chic-fil-A - State
Music City - Bama
Liberty - South Carolina
Independence - Ole Miss (perhaps)
Totino's Pizza Rolls Bowl - @large

Edited to clarify: Ohio State's schedule strength won't hurt them (obviously)... but the teams they play should.
