Good grief. There were aTm fans all over the east side.

But let's just say the University took that section away from the faculty and staff.

Who would buy tickets and sit there?

Because there is empty seats all over that stadium. East side, west side and upper decks.

oh and for whomever that says they get a discount and resale tickets for profit ...... lmao at that. $6 tickets at kickoff with no takers.

Facility section was full of A & M fans today. Athletic Dept needs to figure out a way to put a stop to this habitual behavior. Perhaps full price tickets going forward might be in order. Keenum is an interested sports fan. He should be able to figure out a way to fix

Yeah, I saw all of those maroon and white Adidas shirts in that section too and thought the same thing**, they really stood out

Nobody cares. They haven't for quite some time.
Remember all the people who used to say they didn't like going to blowout games against Eastern Northern Western U. Well now they are not interested in going to see "expected" blowouts against State. It would not be the first time a head coach worried about his own skin demoted an assistant coach during the season. But our "football savant" seems scared to demote or fire a couple and replace them with someone else on the staff!

Again, y'all just want to punish people because of who they are. When they aren't doing anything different than anyone else that buys tickets.

Yall can put faculty and staff where ever in the stadium. Charge them whatever. However half the east side will still be opposing fans BECAUSE STATE FANS DONT SHOW FOR GAMES!

That's the issue. State doesn't have enough fans willing to buy tickets and the opponents do.

The only solution to keep opposing fans out of the east side is to move the students back to the east side. The student section was the only section in that entire stadium yesterday that was full.

Give students from section 18-22. Faculty and staff 23. Opponents 24 25 and East upper deck.

Students are good where they are. Fans need to commit to this program and buy East side tickets, while the faculty can buy tickets like the rest of us. Make the faculty present a faculty ID to use tickets if they must give to them.

Other SEC schools have students in both the endzone and in decent sideline seats. Give the students more seats, wrap that section further around into the east side.

Do faculty receive the tickets free? Or how does that work? If I were faculty and received them free (or at a discount or whatever), I'd count them as part of my compensation and do with them as I wished.

Faculty seats are a job perk. They are just an incentive to attract and retain talent. Cutting or down grading perks has the same effect on employee attitudes as cutting pay. The University should just offer faculty choice of the ticket discounts, or the cash value of fifty yard line seat faculty discount instead.
That choice would end the incentive to resell tickets immediately.

Selling comp tickets is a fireable offense in most sports organizations. I'm surprised they're allowed to sell them without repercussions

All you have to do is have someone in the athletic office keep an eye on secondary tickets market to see if faculty tickets end up on there. Once you catch a few people, they'll stop being sold out of fear of being caught

They are not comped. They must be purchased. TheIr is no discount on price, but the Bulldog Club donation is not required.

It’s faculty AND staff, but yes, it is a job perk. The lady that mops the floors in McCool has the same shot at tickets as the full chemical engineering professor in Swalm.

Possibly disgruntled profs networking for other jobs.
