I knew Powers hurt his hamstring last weekend, but they're now saying he could be out for 3 to 6 weeks. So we may play the rest of the season without 2 key infielders.

Looks like a pitchers duel tonight. We're starting Tyler Whitney (0-0, 6.00) and UM's starting Brett Buckvich (1-1, 8.10).

In fairness to Polk, I've never seen a team have as many key players miss large chunks of the season with injuries. Hell, in 1985 we started the same lineup every game all season with the only change being late in the year Palmeiro and Clark swapped the #3 and #4 positions in the batting order. And the only injury on the pitching staff was Morgan taking a shot off his leg in the CWS.

strength and conditioning coach. This many injuries can't be chalked up to bad luck or 'that's baseball'. The common denominator = _________.</p>

I don't care how bad your training program is, and I do agree that ours is at least 20 years behind the times, to have this many injuries to key players is at least a little unlucky.
