Shane’s on quite a run. When’s the last announcement that didn’t go our way?

Franks was a Clemson target.....always nice to pull in-state talent away from them......
These are kinds of pulls Clemson would get against us when Spurrier let his son take over recruiting. Taking over the state is what they did before beating us like a snare drum. I love what Shane is doing. This press conference on Friday is a big middle finger to the Orange upper management. I love it and cant wait to box out against these guys next year. Culture. According to Franks he felt more comfortable here than Clemson. Wonder how well those comments went over in the upstate. Carolina is a fun place to be once again.

I just hope we can hold this group together and they reach their potential. Many years back we signed what was a great potential ol class for us anyway. Slowly they all went down for various reasons and only one ever reached the field. He was a good one Daryl Austin from Union. Had a solid career.

How many years have Received the opening Kick-off, tried a base off tackle dive play and it get blown up for a 2-yard loss. Literally in passing down after only one play. To start the game no doubt. I think Beamer gets all offensive success starts with the O-line. Those critical pieces needed to do simply things like get 3 yards when needed. Even last year and through years of conditioning, when we get a fantastic play that gets us to the 3 yards line First and Goal, rather than feel elated, I feel a little sick. We don't do 1st and goal well. JuJu's 4th down run to the goal line against Pickens Tech as an example. We couldn't run it in from the 1???? if that changes we become dangerous to stop. Can't wait to see the next 5 to 7 years as this big man momentum will pay dividends. Bring on Thompson. Success breeds success!!

I suspect the dividends also will pay out in recruiting some very good RB's ... knowing that this OL his highly rated and that behind this unit allows the running plays to have an excellent chance to make a very strong career for RB's ... suspect our coaches will be pushing this and with SEVERAL young QB's already on the roster or committed, it is looking brighter and brighter. Now to get some stud WR's, too!

If we can also add Josiah Thompson to this class - and he is considered an early strong lean to us this cycle - to add him to Pringle and Franks this cycle, and to that of Anderson, Babalade, Baugh, etc. in the previous cycle, there'd be little reason for our OLs for the immediate future to not be strong.......

Are they coming out of HS more prepared than they once were? The old norm used to be that it took a couple of years to develop an OL.

Think OL is a Beamer priority and trying to bring in a group who grow and gel together as a unit!
