From our friends at Friendsoftheprogram.net

"Auburn. I watched the MSU game. While Auburn has a long way to go, MSU is trying to run Florida's offense with skill players that Greg McElroy could probably run down from behind. I like the Plainsman Eagles by 3 TDs."

Granted I dont think we have the players that DMullen wants but come on. We got some playmakers. I know no one outside of Starkville wants to believe that Bumphis, Dixon, Heavens and the bunch are worth anything, but I really think that people will be surprised. We can beat these dumbheaded mother<17>ers. WHO'S WITH ME????

speed is not our problem. we're faster than we were 2 years ago when we won 8 games.

getting the ball to the fast guys and giving them space to run in is our problem. I won't pass judgment based on the JSU game. This game will tell the tale.

So, I'm with you that we have speed, but the jury is still out whether we can win this game or not.

We're going to be predicted to lose by 3-4 touchdowns from every blogger that thinks they no anything. Face it, we're State, and it's the easy and lazy thing to do. Until we beat several teams convincingly, they are all going to predict us to lose.

Personally, I think we'll lose, but it will be much like the line Vegas has us at.

that no one outside of Starkville has seen them play. As for Dixon, he's been a very over-rated RB for us the past 3 years. I think he'll be much improved this year, but it's hard to expect people outside of Starkville to share that opinion. BTW, I don't know about Heavens, but I have no doubt that Bumphis could play for Florida.

I was finding myself getting annoyed with all of these comments form evryone not associated with MSU, but I had to come back to reality talking to a buddy last night. Obviously, nobody knows State like we as State fans do. Obviouisly we have not done anything that would suggest different than public opinion is thinking. We are going to keep hearing lopsided comments that we think are over the top, and probably rightfully so, until we prove otherwise. I think that is fair, but I hope we prove otherwise soon because I am sick to death of being a joke, which is what it feels like when handicappers are going on the radio and predicting us to lose 44-3(which was over the top ignorant in my opinion)</p>

These Auburn fans forget real quick that the last two meeting between these teams have been decided by a grand total of 6 points!!!!! Oh yeah and Auburn has scored a total of
17 and State 21- so how can someone with any credibility predict us to loose 44-3. What a 17in' dumb17

They predict us to loose 44-3 and we only loose by 3 or so and they will continue to predict us to loose 44-3... Some big games are goona have to fall in the W column for us to break free from these insane predictions... Otherwise, we'll be 2 and 9(feeling generous this morning) heading to Oxford and be predicted to loose that one 95-0... Just saying... Things will remain the same from the bloggers and such until we can beat the Auburns and GA Techs at least half the time... Hopefully that starts tomorrow...

Just this morning, Little Rock radio, a caller said "Mississippi is over rated". The host thought the guy said Mississippi State. The show host said State isn't rated. Therefore can not be overrated. "They would not even be rated in 1 double A." Then the dumbass figured out the caller was talking about Ole Miss.

Anyway, that type of uncalled for, stupid **** pisses me off. But like you said, we just need to beat some people and the rest takes care of itself I suppose. Then we get acused of cheating but that is a different topic I guess.

last year WITH Croom we only lost 3-2 so I don't see the justification for the blowout prediction this year with Mullen. Has the talent gap between the 2 teams ballooned that much in one year? Is Chizik's staff that much superior to Mullen's? Is homefield advantage worth THAT much? I just don't see any basis for these supposed experts predicting a lopsided Auburn win.
