like a red headed stepchild, BAMA, swept TAMU @ College Station. They are the #12 team in the country. We now lose to them in pretty much everything except softball. Wonder what season tickets cost at Nusz Park. Guess if I need to follow an MSU winner in something.....may need to move my season ticket money to the DiamondGals.

Relax, genespager. I recognize you're a recovering sheep and just now hitting your negative phase, but Alabama baseball ain't overtaking us, at least not long term. And we haven't been losing to them in baseball anyway.

Bama hired a real coach. It’s the sec. It’s the only whole conference trying. hire a real coach and you will win. Doesn’t matter who you are.

I'm gonna go ahead and throw this out there, 2 things really:

First, he have a freaking losing record against Bama in baseball: https://hailstate.com/sports/baseball/opponent-history/alabama/24

Second, don't trust AI, if you google "Mississippi State Alabama baseball record", it gives you the football series record. Terminator my asss.

Anyway, back to baseball. Back in the old days, Alabama actually routinely beat us. They damn near won a natty twice in 1983 and 1997. After all that, no one would ever argue that they have a better program than us or that they'd overtake us in status.

So again, ole leeinator is just 20 years too late to the negativity party. He was still saying "give croom time" back when everybody else was waking up.

Our last series loss to Bama in baseball was in 2015. Even Lemonis’s two terrible teams won series against Bama. And one of those years Bama was a Regional host and made it to a Super.

Hate to tell you, but last 4 years as a whole, they're kicking our a$$ just like the rest of the league is. And as long as we're so damn complacent about our program that's not going to change.

We are 9-3 against them in the last 4 years. We've taken every series. I know you said "last 4 years as a whole", but their post season accomplishments aren't anything special and there's always variability as to what actually happens.

Fix Lemonis and you fix any trepidation our fans have about Alabama having a better baseball program than us. If we hire who we should, we would start taking all of their state's best recruits. Dipshit Lemon doesn't understand this.

They're 44-48 last 3+ years. We're 35-58. And even if we do get rid of Lemonis (50-50 at best even if he continues to tank the rest of this year), do you really trust Selmon and Keenum to hire anyone much better? But hey, have you seen our stadium?

No, I don't. But I would expect them to do is the lazy thing......which may could work out for us. That would be for Lemon/GoTro to (maybe) bow out gracefully, and Parker to be promoted to head coach. We could probably do a lot worse than that, and if there's one thing we do have right now, it's good pitching. I think he's a great recruiter too, seeing how we have and who he brought with him.

With those 2 in charge, that may be about the best we could hope for. But the #3 Oklahoma assistant will be a strong candidate.

Look, we're all frustrated, but pointing out teams like Tennessee (your last post like this) and Alabama, who have simply improved significantly and are better than us now is pretty pointless. They're good. Like national championship good.

We're not the reason they're good, they are the reason they're good. All we can do is handle our own house. We may need a new coach when this season is done. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to read hundreds of posts like this until that time and they will tell me nothing I don't already know.

Oh and, btw, we were actually a little better than Bama last year and beat them 2 of 3. No need to make it worse than it is.

End of the day. Any problem in any thread about baseball can be solved with the right coach. We have the fan support, facilities, and all the things we need to be good. The one thing missing? A good coach. Look Lemon won the NC, and that was awesome. But that does not buy three years of getting skull drug by anybody with a pulse.

The difference with Bama is their AD. When we had the Ninja, we were getting a lot better at all our sports too!!

Alabama rolled up the advantage before Pearl Harbor. Their prewar dominance rivals what their football team did to us in the Bryant and Saban years.

Maybe the coldest I have ever been was watching us play Bama in 1981/2(?). The wind was bowing hard from the north, and all I had on was a thin wind jacket, but we had them, 12-0. And as it got quiet between innings, when some guy from the third base stands shouted, loudly, “HEY, ALABAMA, WE ARE WHUPPIN-YO-BEHIND!!” All laughed. WHO said they beat us more than we beat them?? I’ll fight about it.🤣
