1. Last year I got two dozen roses at Whole Foods. Forget exact price , but really strong for the gouge fest that occurs on 2/14.
2. Also if your significant other is into fine chocolates, Norman Love makes a very artistic statement with a flavorful and unique palate. Not inexpensive, but priced about the same as a dozen roses at a florist.

Wifey is a Mets fan. Giving her Sat and Sun tickets for the Mets vs. Pirates in June, with a Saturday night stay in a hotel by PNC Park. Probably go to the Warhol Museum and other things as well.

I'm going to look for seats in the section where the Mets fans sit for Saturday late afternoon game, but may opt for something in the shade for the Sunday afternoon game. We sat in the Mets "section" behind their dugout and just behind first base for a weekday game last September, and the Mets fans themselves were worth the price of admission. And as a life-long Orioles fan, I'm by no means a Mets fan! Nor the Pirates for that matter! Still, I really enjoy PNC Park, and taking in a baseball game every now and then is fun. So win-win for VDay (for once).

I hate Valentine’s Day. I never have a good idea for it.
I'm with ya 100%. That's why my idea for this year is a very rare bit of VDay genius for me. I often try the 1-week-ahead-of-time 'no cards or gifts for VDay again this year, right?', which brings the expected response of complaining that I'm not romantic, etc. etc. (Bingo). So this one should buy me about 4 years worth of goodwill, and I get to enjoy it too. And I can repeat it every few years to extend the goodwill, hopefully.

If not, it's back to the cute puppy on the front of a card saying Happy Barkentine's Day or some such. ;)

I wouldn’t even say that I’m “not romantic”. I just hate the forced nature of it.

@BobPSU92 gives his wife this gift each year:

I didn’t see your vote in the Golden Globes poll Tom….did I miss it? Or are you over polls? ;)

Whole Foods roses are great - get those, a card, nice dinner, maybe nice pajamas or something cozy. Keep it simple since wife’s b-day is close-by…

How 'bout this for you? You are a part of Valentine's Day, right? She'll never know.

Candy is dandy, but sex won’t raise your A1C!
@fairgambit enterprises hasn’t weighed in.

Well, I did mention the Aston Martin but that was not from Fairgambit Worldwide Enterprises. If you are specifically looking for a gift from FGWE, sadly, you are too late. We are sold out. :(
But wait! I just checked our stock and we do have one item left, and I mean only one, from our "Best Breast" series (see below). If you are interested, and have $10,000 in small, unmarked, bills, have your people call my people. Hurry! This beauty won't last!
