Any speculation on why PSU hasn't offered

Bishop McDevitt QB Stone Saunders? I see he has offers from some elite Power 5 schools, but I have not seen a PSU offer in any of the lists.

Georgia, Michigan if the reports are to be believed.
Michigan offered a couple years ago. Would speculate that had something to do with the dads relationship with the Harbaughs since it was before he ever played a down in high school.

Georgia offered?

Beano Cook has Stone winning more Heismans than Ron Pawlus . Stone’s TD to Int ratio was insane this year . Kids a player .

Would agree he is a player. League is very weak.
Watch him in the championship game this past December. Great arm, great measurables, but threw a slew of interceptions against equal competition. He probably gets more attention than deserved because of his dad being S&c coach of the ravens.

I don’t think Steve moves the needle that much . Saw dad play for the central Penn piranha back in the day . Met up with a a few times as my buddy Rovito was co-owner.
Stone was a sophomore in the state championship . Heck of an upside .

Peculation? I know it’s a typo, but it’s kind of funny.
I was amused as well. It seems like it should have a totally different definition without the “s”. Like, idk… “obsessively working out one’s chest muscles” or something.

He’s overrated but it’s early. Have seen him play several times and was not terribly impressed. His team plays almost every game against vastly under matched opponents. Not sure what his measurables are on this sight but looks undersized for a D1 QB. He also has a legit D1 receiver and possibly 2 RB’s on the team to get the ball too. All that being said he’s still on his sophomore year so he has some time to develop and grow. I feel like the offers at this point were given early just to say “we offered you early” should he pan out knowing he’s not gonna commit anytime soon. Those offers can easily be pulled later.

So which NFL team has hired Kiper as their head of player personnel?

Kiper is on TV,, just like Howie Mandel.
Otoh Mel started in his Mom’s basement in like 1981. He started a whole industry of draft analysis. Heck before that most GMs used an old copy of Street and Smiths

Not exactly. Scouting organizations BLESTO, CEPO (noe The National), and Quadra (defunct) started operations in the early '60s.

As for Mel, the man created a niche and has made a lot of money doing it. I give him a lot of credit. Capitalism is a wonderful thing.

All BLESTO etc did was eat lunch on an expense account and then get a copy of Phil Steele !! Lol
Could you imagine today sharing scouting info with other teams??
BLESTO was a collective Bears, Lions Eagles, Steelers, T and O I don’t remember

Phil Steele was incredibly precocious. He was three years old when BLESTO was formed. He didn't begin publishing until 1995.

Teams do share some scouting information. Don't know what or how much. BLESTO and The National still exist.
