Why do we have to go through questions about our coach every time we start winning? People bringing up the Forrest Moore thing... My response is, name a Cohen recruited player that has transferred because he was too mean to them. Bottom line is, these players know the kind of coach they are coming to play for, and judging by the guys attitudes towards him this season, they all enjoy playing for him. <div>
</div><div>EDITED TO ADD: Not saying there isn't Cohen recruited players that transferred, but the rate of attrition is probably on par with if not less than any other college baseball team. Which is not bad for a coach that apparently abuses his players day in and day out.</div>

there appears to be an orchestrated effort to slow down his recruiting.

I remember years ago people talking about our football team lifting weights during the summer. It was a big thing if we had half the team doing it where teams like Bama had everyone and the incoming freshmen. MSU is at a disadvantage for the most part when competing with the big boys so we have to work harder to catch up. Polk had let us get behind everyone else and now Cohen brings an attitude that nothing but a championship is good enough. This has rubbed a lot of players the wrong way but those are the type of players that fold when it gets down to pressure situations. Players are starting to buy in to Cohen's program much like the football team did with Mullen. Mullen just didn't have those type of players that were resentful of him coming into the program. Everyone seemed to buy in immediately where Cohen has had to weed out players over his first couple of seasons.

Cohen is driven and he wants players who are driven, bottom line is he expects the best from them, that's all a coach can ask.

if he were "my total jerk" i wouldn't worry about it. he apparently motivates his players and he's winning. who gives a rat's *** that opponents call him a jerk. jackie was cheating scum, but if he was "my cheating scum" i would have defended him. cutcliffe on the other hand...everybody had great things to say about.... personally, i wish more people railed on our coaches. those "character flaws" tend to stand out to folks whose a**es you've been kicking. just sayin'

as stated by previous posters he took a team with 1/3 the talent of Florida and pushed them to the wire. Next time Florida or another big time sachoollooks for a coach, I think Cohen will be considered.

Those guys got fired for losing to obviously a coach with no clue. Every coach seemed to keep telling the MSU faithful we should just give Croom 5 or 10 more years and we might make it to the Liberty bowl again. If it wasn't for Ellis Johnson and Wes Caroll we wouldn't have even had a Liberty Bowl win.

I agree with the Rebel though. If Cohen was coaching any other team in the SEC, I'm sure I'd hate him. But since he's coaching us and winning, I've got no problem with him. Lots of coaches are complete ********. </p>
