We got a good look at the new museum while we were up there. I'm sure this places me in the extreme minority on this board, but I think it's going to be a great facility and worthwhile addition to the campus. In combination with the nearby arboretum, that corner of campus will be a great place to visit.
Go ahead, let me have it.
Hahah, looking forward to it.Interwebs A$$. BEATING.forthcoming.

However, the restaurant scene has changed dramatically over the years. Not a lot of hoagie, cheesesteak and similar food anymore. A lot of Asian cuisine now.
Improved since the 90s yes, but has been going downhill the last 5-6 years. Mexican and Asian everywhere, not that there is anything wrong with that, but I really miss places like Herwigs. Lots of chain restaurants. The restaurant scene has improved dramatically since I arrived in 1990. Although, we now find ourselves in need of a good diner. Shoot, I’d settle for a mediocre diner downtown.
Is there a good sub place? Not sure when you graduated, I was mid 80's, and I always liked the Cattle Car and Penn State Sub Shop. Vesuvios was pretty good as well. The other Sandwich place I liked a lot was Stage Door Deli.Improved since the 90s yes, but has been going downhill the last 5-6 years. First of all they are called HOAGIES!!Is there a good sub place? Not sure when you graduated, I was mid 80's, and I always liked the Cattle Car and Penn State Sub Shop. Vesuvios was pretty good as well. The other Sandwich place I liked a lot was Stage Door Deli.
LOL, I'm from Western PA. Hoagies were just smaller versions of Subs.First of all they are called HOAGIES!!![]()
Come to think of it, I don't think there is any place downtown that makes a good hoagie anymore. I heard Margaritas does but they have off hours. There was a place called Bradley's that actually got the local bakery to make Philly style rolls that made their food better then most other places but they had odd hours as well and have since closed. There used to be a Jersey Mikes but that closed up downtown and moved out to South Atherton. Sheetz makes hoagies but they are closing downtown as well. I am going to have to go downtown on a mission. When I was in school there was a Lee's Hoagies that I frequented often.
Bradley's can be found out on N. Atherton across from Fine Wine and Good Spirits and HiWay Pizza. They do make good hoagies and cheese steaks...First of all they are called HOAGIES!!![]()
