My fav, Doing It To DeathI love James Brown so much. I regret that I never had the honor of witnessing a live performance.
I have a big old pile of his King Records 45s though. So many great songs!
That's your prerogative ... oh wait, nevermindJames Brown? No, but I saw Blair Brown in person and I far prefer her to him.

Favorite line from a James Brown song. "I don't know Karate, but I know crazy! You betta ask somebody..."
Edit. The actual lyrics they say "yes we do", not you better ask somebody.

Don't do me no darn favor
I don't know Karate but I know Ka-razor"
I believe the 68-69 school year. The band (I believe it was still the Famous Flames) had Rec Hall shaking before JB even came on stage. Great show!Saw him and his huge band at Rec Hall on campus. Somewhere between 1968 and March of ‘71. It was a great show. Everyone thought it was amazing. I can’t remember the exact date.
