Well I know he isn't a good player but was getting some playing time earlier in the year. Just wondered if he was in the dog house. If being a bad player kept you from playing, Gray would never see the floor. I wish I had his body and height....I would be a force! He looks like Tarzan....plays like Jane.
I agree he has been better but he just isn't the force he should be.Gray's play has improved substantially in the last couple of months. That's a big part of why Verdonk is seeing less PT.
You have no clue. Gray changes drives and shots, gets rebounds….watch how many drives to the hoop when he’s not in vs when he’s in.Well I know he isn't a good player but was getting some playing time earlier in the year. You have no clue... there is more to basketball than being tall and stopping people from wanting to drive the basket. He is an offensive liability with hands of stone! He isn't a real shot blocker. He is mediocre as a big guy and everyone who can be honest knows it. Yes, he has gotten better but he is not a great big man. That is just facts. You have no clue. Verdonk is a great young man. But Gray is an offensive machine compared to him.You have no clue... there is more to basketball than being tall and stopping people from wanting to drive the basket. And who said “great?”…the question was about Verdonk. Gray helps us more. Simple. And the hands of stone no offense description you gave of Gray is x 2 for Verdonk. Not arguing…just stating factYou have no clue... there is more to basketball than being tall and stopping people from wanting to drive the basket. He is an offensive liability with hands of stone! Nobody said Gray is great. He's definitely not. But he has drastically improved from where he was earlier in the season, and he's a key contributor for this team. You have no clue... there is more to basketball than being tall and stopping people from wanting to drive the basket. And ya can't coach Height.Nobody said Gray is great. He's definitely not. But he has drastically improved from where he was earlier in the season, and he's a key contributor for this team.
I am a fan of his….period. Hard working bright young man. Hustler on the court. He is just outsized at the center spot, and lacks the offensive skill to be an effective forward. Would love for him to show more offensive confidence.Looking at his bio, Verdonk seems like he will be well prepared for life after basketball if he so chooses, that as his next step, must be a bright guy
