Anyone seen the remake of "Salem's Lot" on Max yet?

Would love some input before watching, the original 1979 version is one of my all time favorite horror movies despite scarring me for life.

The original is very good! Great actors and the right age for the characters. I'm anxious to watch the new show on MAX.

Coming from someone who watched it on tv as kid when it came out, I thought they did a pretty good job. It’s pretty true to the story. My only issue is that it seemed pretty rushed. The original was over two nights and without commercials was almost 3 hours long. The new one clocks in at just shy of 2 hours. Visually it’s fantastic. James Mason cast a pretty large shadow not being in it.
I’d say definitely worth the watch, maybe I’m nostalgic, but my nod goes to the original.
