Anyone think Brian O'Connor is a candidate?

O'Connor, the fifth-year head coach at Virginia, has led the Cavs to four straight regionals, hosting three of them. They average well over 40 wins a season and are very, very competitive in the Atlantic 10. He is a pitching coach first, so the pitching staff will be solid. The offense isn't dynamic, but it is athletic and steals a lot of bases. However, with our large ballpark, maybe making the pitching and defense the cornerstone of our squad is the way to go. His only ties to MSU is that he was the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator in Notre Dame's regional visit to Starkville. What do you guys think?

this guy should get a call. My understanding is that Virginia baseball was about as bad as Kentucky baseball when he took over.

No idea if he'd be interested.

all of these guys are on a different tier from Cohen or McDonnell. If you can get any one of those guys, it's a no brainer. I just don't know how realistic it is to think we can get them.
