Certainly look beatable!Auburn has 2 turnover (SJSU none), SJSU has 12 first downs to Auburn's 6, and SJSU almost has Auburn doubled up on TOP.
Very beatable. Lions 28, Auburn 17Certainly look beatable!
They have moving goal line pylons too?Auburn = Indiana
Just caught the replay of last night's game. They have a DE named Hall that looks disruptive. I thought their run game would be much more potent than it was last night. Their QB isn't always accurate. They have a backup QB (Ashford) who just pretty much runs but he looked dinked up at the end of the game. Honestly, I believe that if we do not turn over the ball then, we have a really good shot here. Also, I am going out on a limb by saying...
Manny Diaz > Brent Pry
Watched a lot of the game after getting back from ours. Also watched some Fl/Ky. Always nice to watch some other games for perspective. We almost died with Cliff’s pick last week but the FL qb’s 2 picks were unbelievably worse. And they were ranked 12. I like where we are right now and we should be fine in Auburn if we play a clean game.3-0 SJS
Not so fast my friend! We’re gonna match up Singleton and Allen speed vs SEC speed. Lol.We. Are. Doomed.
Purdue was a passing team which allowed PSU to play with an extra DB. Ohio was an undersized MAC team. This game could really test our unproven LBs.This will be a different monster than we've seen in the 1st 2 weeks. Auburn is a run heavy team. They run 2/3 of the time. Our DL and LBs better be prepared for a more physical game. Gap control and tackling will be very important. I agree we're better but this is the kind of team that could test us. I'm not chalking this 1 up as a W by any means.
Ohio got 5 sacks + several other tackles for loss. Auburn has a better defense than Ohio.I haven't seen either of their games yet but I suspect they have lots of speed on the defensive side, as usual. Our OL is going to need to step up to prevent Clifford from being on his backside a lot (the one main negative I remember from the Ohio game).
Yup. 2 concerns for me going in....OL gave up too many sacks and TFLs against MAC level competition. Also....bad decisions by QB against a faster defense.Ohio got 5 sacks + several other tackles for loss. Auburn has a better defense than Ohio.
The OL gave up too many sacks....the OL? How about a 6th year QB sitting in the pocket, unfolding a blanket, having some tea, and then getting sacked twice? 2 of those sacks were directly related to Clifford either not respecting Ohio's pass rush or simply not having any internal clock after 6 years. He sat back there and literally didn't move. He had time, plenty of it. OL play is better this year than the last few even against MAC teams.Yup. 2 concerns for me going in....OL gave up too many sacks and TFLs against MAC level competition. I'll be there though cheering for our boys...
Well then that's directly related to my 2nd concern.....The OL gave up too many sacks....the OL?
