Indiana #8. They are beating opponents by 33ppg and are #2 in the country in qb pressures. I think they take Michigan apart at home next week. What an awful hire Sherrone Moore was.

Is Washington State even eligible for the playoff given their conference situation? Can’t remember…

The rich aren’t richer. They’re still rich, and there may be a coming shakeout, but right now is more interesting than it has been in years

Of course it’s not interesting for us, and that’s our fault

That qb for wsu John Mateer is the most impressive qb ive seen this year. He will be playing for Oregon or Ohio State next year. Incredible athlete

Yes….they are eligible for an at-large just like any G5 school. There’s only going to be one taken….it will probably be Boise State but will be WSU or Army if somehow they falter.

Problem WSU has that Boise or Army don’t is WSU can’t get the G5 champion automatic bid. They would have to get a true at large bid, which means being in top 11 at worst. That’s gonna be tough with their schedule.

The five highest rated conference champions get auto-bids. The other 7 spots are all at large. They are eligible for one of those 7 spots.

The highest ranked conference champs from the:

SEC
Big 10
Big 12
ACC
Mountain West
AAC
Sun Belt
MAC
C-USA

only those conference champions matter. Everything else is at-large

What gets interesting is if BYU stumbles and both Army and Boise run the table.... the big12 could be not one of the 5 highest rated conference champs... but that would mean Army beating Notre Dame which is unlikely.

It’s sad that Vandy is just #24. I guarantee you that there isn’t one team on that list that wants to take them on.
Yea, that Georgia State loss definitely reeks and I understand it being hard to wash that stink off, but they have a good win against Bama, got passed UK (which not every top twenty team has been able to do), and played UTex to a 3 point loss and lost @Missouri in overtime, who has only lost to A&M and Bama.

I don't think they're drastically underrated at #24, but they are definitely getting dinged because they're Vandy.

ETA: Ole Miss is 16 and their most impressive wins are USCe, Arkansas, and Oklahoma, with 5-3, 5-4, and 5-4 records. And one of their losses is to a 3-6 UK.

That doesn't seem to be a resume that would put them more than a couple of spots ahead of Vandy.

Vandy is the highest ranked 3 loss team. Ranked higher than a missouri team that is 6-2 and beat them. They are getting worlds of respect and are ranked where they should be... maybe even a tad higher than they should be.

I think they're going to be a 4-loss team after they play South Carolina Saturday.

That’s interesting because they are still technically in a 2-team “conference” with Oregon State. I knew they didn’t get the CFP auto-bid, but thought they could still technically get the G5 conference champ auto-bid if they were the highest ranked. I didn’t go far enough down the rabbit hole to find out that the CFP was no longer recognizing the PAC 12 as a conference at all (even a G5, or more aptly a G6 conference).
