Arkansas is not a bad football team

Their record is deceptively poor due to a combination of having a front-loaded schedule and some inopportune turnovers against A&M. Even after today, they still have a manageable runway to finish anywhere from 7-5 to 9-3. They get both OM and LSU at home in November, and really no other scary conference matchups left.

Saying all that to say that it was great to see us show up and do what we were supposed to do today. This win will look much better at the end of the year.

They are obviously a different team with Jefferson but State still whipped that ***.

Would we have won the game with a healthy Jefferson starting? I say yes. Closer, but yes.

Agreed. And I think they’ll have him back next week and they’ll put an asskicking on a currently Top 20 ranked BYU team in Provo.

It also didn’t show up so much on the scoreboard, but credit to Pittman and his staff for coming up with a decent enough offensive game plan under the circumstances. They rolled up about 500 yards on us on the road with a couple of green QB’s, and left some points out on the field. Both the 3rd and 4th down plays on our goal line stand in the 3rd quarter should have been Arkansas TD’s. One was a bad throw and the other a terrible read to give to the RB when the QB keep was wide *** open. Jefferson makes those plays.

Yeah they are decent. Sam Pittman is a lot more tolerable in a loss. I’ve disliked him ever since his smart *** comment after they had that win handed to them last year. He’s sounds a lot more humble now sitting on three straight losses. They will likely lose again next week too. Their offense is too slow with a defense as poor as theirs is. They can’t win a shootout.

Arkansas and Pittman had their 15 minutes of fame last year.
