^^^ voice of experience.

Another option could be that we find out this non-pronounceable named kid is being paid $1.5-$2 mill to wear the green jersey and signal plays.
Imagine paying $1-2M for a clipboard holder. It's the perfect move for MSU. We are...

It's really interesting being a fan of any other SEC school besides Alabama and Georgia. Those two teams are the only ones that typically have won the SEC championship since inception. There is never a chance we win the conference, or Ole Miss for that matter. I really think MSU should join a mid tier conference, recruit 3 stars from around Mississippi and have a chance at winning the conference.

I’m not sure why anybody actually thought we were getting him. Steve and his band of indians generally have no idea what’s happening, they just record a podcast afterwards and say things like “we knew this was a possibility,” “I got wind from my source late last night,” etc.

Yeah those home Saturdays vs Louisiana Tech and MTSU are what we need to look forward to. I’m sure the fan base will be so excited.

Is Arnold better than Shapen? I don’t think so. Certainly not so much better that he’s worth paying significant money to.
He’s not, and I’m sure that factored into his decision. Go to barn, play for a program steeped in depravity and degeneracy, and be handed the starting job—or go to State and compete.

It would have been a massive perception win if we had landed him, but I’m not sure that he makes us any better next year.

Honestly, Shapen was extremely good when he had time to throw. He was also fast and quick. Dude is a baller, but injuries have kept him down. I'm hoping he beats out everybody next year and has a healthy season. Arnold is all potential at this point. He clearly has the tools to be good, but he's not here.

Shapen has had three consecutive seasons where he didn’t finish the season due to injury. Doesn’t matter if you’re Tom Brady, if you can’t stay healthy, you’re no good to the team. It’s critical we sign another quality quarterback because the odds of Shapen making it through a season without injury aren’t good.
