Maybe with the ESPN deal we can have all non-conference home games in the future.

those are some crazy numbers. we aren't even close to the million mark.

for one game in Starkville. That's where you start with the big numbers. So our figure is not really what we are trying to use to compete. We can offer more, it just pales in comparison to what others can. Hopefully the TV revenue will give us a boost.

i am completely OK with playing some creampuffs in Starkville. i was simply amazed that we are so different from the rest of the conference. i know i shouldn't be since i have seen our budget as compared to theirs.

you would think the TV money should help out but hell i would rather us spend it on facilities and recruiting and keep paying for the little guy to come to town. we are not even close to the caliber yet to be paying for someone to come in to town from D1A and be confident they won't whip our asses.

we an offer a lot more than that I fell sure. Just not as much as the other schools in major conferences. All those other teams had to go get a team like La Monroe to commit to a one and done. We have none of those. And yes, I do think that the new revenue will help us in that regard.

Id rather spend it on home games. Its not like you come out of pocket that much. Those games generate ticket revenue and concessions to help close the gap on losing money, and help the city and school.

And more importantly, buying that home game should be considered buying a W. Of course it doesn't always work out that way, but that's the way it should be viewed. A home game if it's a win is well worth the money if that W helps get you to any bowl game.
