Well, FSU lost the guy who was going to start the bowl at qb, and two more starting db's. The lost a couple DLinemen and a couple WR's too. I'm sure there's more, but that's just what I remember.
That team is going to get slaughtered in the bowl.
And I wager people ignore the opt outs and argue the game will prove FSU didn't belong.
Hard to believe the guys FSU are missing would have made them competitive when its 42 to 3 at the half.
UGA would still be winning, but it would be a much different game if FSU had all their players who opted out.

Clearly there is only one team out there that felt like they wanted to prove something.
College football got exactly what it deserved with this game.
Yeah, when FSU didn't get in the playoff, they quit as a team. When UGA didn't get in, they set about proving the committee wrong. Shows the difference in cultures at the two programs. FSU is loaded with transfer portal players and UGA only has about 2. I have to wonder if that is a factor.

Good news is they get to go back to the ACC and they will probably one of the favorites to win it.
This is what happens when you build a team from the portal. FSU had over 20 players not playing some headed to the NFL others opted out. This is what college football has become. SMFH

I don't think FSU could beat Uga but the biggest factor is FSU is missing over 20 players. Live by the portal die by the portal.
I think it would have been closer but I still think UGA would have won fairly easily. UGA is much better than FSU across the board no matter who FSU has playing.
Are you kidding? They are missing around 20 players because they thought they deserved to be in the final four. Those weren’t just backup players. You’ve got to be kidding me. This is part of what happens when you build a team out of the portal. They are backing it up with HS recruiting. We can’t win 6 games but we want to make fun of others? There is a reason Saban and Kirby don't take many portal players. They know building a team with portal players is a fool's errand. Kirby is very selective in who he takes from the portal. He only takes really good players who fill a position of specific need. He has a WR from Vandy who was a top portal kid and Etienne from UF who is a great RB. I'm not sure if Saban is taking any portal players so far.
And how do our fans want to build? Many through the portal. Pay attention.

Coach Smart said this game was proof that this opting out business needs to stop.
There are a handful of programs that consistently stack top 5 recruiting classes. Everyone else has to use the portal to address needs. There’s a reason people are talking about OM being a playoff team next year. It damn sure ain’t HS recruiting. Same for Mizzou. We’re going to have to use the portal to build.

So.. Who cares. We didn't have a good team. We were below average, We should have beat Clemson. They were One dimensional. No passing game. UNC wasn't the Same Team Mid-Season as they were when we played them in Charlotte
UK should have beaten the taters too. Most teams who give up all those turnover and a Special Teams TD would lose. Taters refused to quit, because Dabo Refused to quit. Got hand it to Clemson. Regardless of the Turnovers they refused to quit. Wished our Players and Coaches would have that Never Say Die Attitude.
It stunk not having a Bowl Game for Our Players, School and fans to go too. ACC is weak. Strength of Schedule was weak in the ACC, One of the reasons FSU was left out of the Playoffs.

Would the fact that UGA and BAMA are traditionally in the top five for recruiting have anything to do with it?
Lucky for me I have more than one team I pull for. I also have never bought in to I cant talk about other teams because mine is bad.
