If he is not a guaranteed 1st rounder does he go anyway?

I've still yet to hear anyone explain why it's stupid to start earning a living when staying in college for an extra year is unlikely to increase earning potential.

We're talking about the NBA draft, not pro ball in general.

If he's ready to leave college and start making money, more power to him. It just won't be in the NBA.

I disagree. I think Gordon has a chance to dramatically increase his earning potential. All he needs to play in the NBA is a better shot (and better shot selection). Those are things that he can improve on if he comes back next year and works hard. He could go from not even being an afterthought in this year's draft to a borderline 1st/2nd round pick in next year's draft.

mock draft I just linked, he may be better off and have the potential to earn much more money by playing in the NBA as opposed to Europe. With that potential and the NBA being every kid's dream that grows up playing bball, it may be in his best interest to lace em up one more year in Vegas. How's that?</p>

Jamont will not play point guard in the NBA.
I doubt he will ever play in an NBA game at all.
Saying that, he can make some good money in Europe or Asia playing BBall.

He needs to come back work on his degree, outside shot and play shooting guard or small forward for MSU next year.
