It happens every year. If they finish with a better SEC record than we do, I’ll be very surprised.

I just don't understand the ole miss love. They have a far better chance of finishing 7th than they do 4th. And if A&M finishes 3rd, Bobby Petrino should get coach of the year... yes, I know he's not the head coach.

I also think Missouri could finish as high as 4th in the East, maybe 3rd.

I’m shocked. Think they meant to put us that high?

Will you SPSers ever learn? On paper, everybody's paper, Ole Miss has the better coach and the better talent year in and year out. And if they don't have the talent on paper, they are given the benefit of the doubt because THEY ARE OLE MISS.
And every year (even those years where they do fairly well), they fall short of expectations.
Who gives a $h!4 where these rags put the Rebels at the beginning of the season?
Enjoy their meltdown just like they had last year.
They can win every game they play as long as we find a way to beat them in the Battle for the Golden Egg.
But they won't. They'll lose a heartbreaker to a team they were supposed to beat by two touchdowns.
This is the way. THEY ARE OLE MISS.

Yuup, no cushy schedule this year.

They copied and pasted from last year.
Hahahah... they pretty did. Same guy (Steve Lasan, an Austin Peay guy) and almost the exact same prediction:

2022 SEC Predictions (and actual finish)
East:
1. Georgia (1)
2. Tennessee (2)
3. Kentucky (4)
4. Florida (5)
5. South Carolina (3)
6. Missouri (6)
7. Vanderbilt (7)

West:
1. Alabama (2)
2. Texas A&M (7)
3. Arkansas (5)
4. LSU (1)
5. Ole Miss (4)
6. Mississippi State (3)
7. Auburn (7)

I was curious, so I went and checked out 2021:

2021 SEC Predictions (and actual finish)
East:
1. Georgia (1)
2. Florida (6)
3. Missouri (4)
4. Kentucky (2)
5. Tennessee (3)
6. South Carolina (5)
7. Vanderbilt (7)

West:
1. Alabama (1)
2. Texas A&M (5)
3. LSU (7)
4. Ole Miss (2)
5. Auburn (6)
6. Arkansas (3)
7. Mississippi State (4)

So... for the past 2 seasons, whoever he put as 6th in the West finished 3rd, so I think it's a good sign.

Instead of being indebted to State, they would throw the dog in the Escalade and drive to Auburn.
I think they would not do that because Auburn is now associated with Cohen and Freeze. They would not continue on to Florida because of Mullen once coached there. I think A&M would be their destination.

I thought about A&M but figured the dog would be dead by the time they drove to College Station. They would probably blame us.

It does happen every year. This year we do have a lot of questions. I'm excited to see what kind of product we have on the field, but having a new HC/OC/DC definitely would warrant reservations.

Having said that, I think 6-8 win predictions are reasonable and I think we will beat expectations as we typically do. ETA: Gotta go all the way back 12yrs for the last time the dawgs went 2-6 in SEC play

My prediction?

Do they not read the boards? Mississippi State wins 3 or 4 SEC games. Period.

We have failed to win 3 SEC games once in 14 years. We get picked to go 2-6 every year :ROFLMAO:

I used to be a sports gambling man. Still a gambling man except it’s farming and commodity markets.

I will say this, I’d wager large money no way in hell auburn finishes last. Do not underestimate that slippery bastard.

E and W 1’s are probably accurate but everything else is going to be so jumbled up and so very not accurate.
