Must win. Should win.

With a sweep by UGA, and UT/Bama/TxAM all going for sweeps. With a loss, we could go from the last 4 in, to a good ways out

All the SEC games are huge right now, but I agree that this one seems moreso. If we could get through this road stretch vs AU and UT no worse than 3-3, we're still breathing.

3-3 adn we are Still breathing but on life support.

Ole Miss just fell into quad 2, our rpi has dropped 10 points this week and we've gone 1-1. We are currently Tied for 11th in the sec, the best we can be is tied for 10th at weeks end.

Weve been passed by UGA, with a loss today we'd be behind Auburn as well in terms of the SEC pecking order. This hasnt been a good week for us even if we do win, a loss and we'd likely have to win 3 of the final 4 series or get a lot of help.

Agree. We need today and hopefully get to 35 wins including Hoover IF we make it. I think in my opinion that's the magic number for us to get in.

You need 7 more SEC wins in the last 13, who they come against isn’t as important, but today is arguably the most winnable SEC game we have left on the schedule.

Would not hurt to have Vandy beat UT today, and maybe there’s an argument for wanting Mizzou to beat Bama, though us winning and Mizzou losing would give us a two game cushion in terms of making Hoover.

Georgia is a very interesting team all of the sudden. They were a total afterthought and then they went 6-3 against Kentucky, Florida, and Arkansas, and they’ll be in Oxford to play the last place Rebels next. Feel like they have definitely jumped past Mizzou and today’s State-Auburn loser in the pecking order.

You need more than 7 now. 7 gets you on the bubble, and likely the wrong side of it. You need 8, or 2 wins in hoover. However you want to compute it. But today is very important, its basically a two game swing. B/c it pushes a team down that is competing for that last spot like we are, and it gives us a tie-breaker over them H2H.

We are currently the 11th team in the SEC. A loss today puts us 12th and we've dropped 10 points in RPI, a loss today will do even more damage.

Georigas RPI is in the top 20. They are inside the top 10 of the SEC. They have passed both Mizzou and us as the last ones in. Not to mention they have the most impressive wins in the group (sweeping Arkansas). This UGA weekend was terrible for us as well, because we dont play them, we get no benefit (RPI/SOS wise) from them.

The obvious ones are in (6)
Bama, Texas AM are clearly next (2)

The pecking order right now for the rest is: UGA, Tennessee, US/Auburn then Mizzou. AND there is a wide gap between Tennessee and the other 3 currently. A win today by UT, would likely flip UT/UGA in the pecking order. The loser b/t us and auburn today would fall right there with mizzou

A win today will boost our RPI some though, perhaps back into the Top 30.

13-17 isn’t a lock to get you in but it makes it close, you’d probably want to win at least one win in Hoover to feel any level of comfort.

Georgia’s resurgence makes 11 SEC teams getting in the NCAAT an absolute possibility.

No georgias resurgence just knocks another bottom tier team out. SEC is only getting 10.

Alabama is 2-0 this week and their RPI has dropped 3 points
We are 1-1 this week and RPI has dropped 10 points
UT's RPI has dropped even with the Vandy wins due to their midweek loss
Ole Miss has dropped into Q2

The loser of this game today b/t us and auburn will likley be in the 40s. All Georgia's wins did this week was put them on thte right side of the bubble and swap them out with the loser of this game today as a team squarely out.

This will continue to happen all year. Hence why it'll play out on the field, but get hot now and you can earn your way in. But the SEC isnt getting 11. The RPIs this week show this, they are all going to flip and flop all year, and will continue to as the season progesses and we continue to beat up on each other

FWIW, the PlainsTigerEagleMen have been awful in these final games of the weekend series all season.

They're 1-7-1 with 6 straight losses and the only win a one run affair with Lipscomb.

Kiss of death for the pups, you're welcome...
You just got us run ruled. Thanks a lot!

Didn't win.
Yep and on the outside of the bubble looking in. Will take probably winning the next 4 series or a deep run in hoover to get us into any regional at this point.

we were passed by both auburn and Georgia this weekend. Tennessee is definitely ahead of us and now bama has shown to be clearly more deserving as well.

we’ll have to win all 4 or sweep a key series to be in serious consideration moving forward

Please pass this note on to the team:

No lead is safe. Not even a 16 run lead. Keep crushing it every at bat.

We are #1 in the country at losing to teams on big losing streaks. Sunday was just another feather in our cap!
