The NCAA Committee on Infractions on Friday placed the Auburnmen's basketball program on four years' probation and suspended coach Bruce Pearl for two games after saying he failed to adequately monitor former assistant coach Chuck Person and did not promote an atmosphere of compliance.

Paul Finebaum said it best.

“The message is clear. Cheat like crazy and don’t stop until you win. I never thought I would say that, but it’s the truth. It simply doesn’t matter anymore,”

This is a head coach who's already had one show cause sanction in his career. And he gets 2 games, while the program gets a meaningless probation. If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying is yesterday's news. If you ain't cheating, you may as well just shut the program down.

Seriously, your approach to cheating needs to be like Alexander Shunnerah’s approach to billboards. My sister has a friend who works for him. Says he’s always asking, “Are we advertising enough? Should we do more?”

Oh hell no, you’re not cheating enough. Cheat sone more.

You can’t win as a college head coach without a total commitment to breaking the rules. The most narcissistic head coaches litter the tops of the record books with W’s. It’s a dirty business made for special people.
Basketball has always been this way….especially since integration. It won’t change and at the end of the day, it means little to nothing to any sort of footprint of society or reflection of humanity.

It’s a big collective for the people who know, means nothing to 9999999999999999999.999999999% of what’s real

A head coach who has already been caught blatantly cheating before gets caught again and the punishment the second time is significantly lighter. This kind of **** makes it really hard to continue caring about college sports. If this had been us they would have buried us like they did SMU football back when 17s were given. Hell, Bracky would do it for them.

Bruce Pearl coaching within the rules would have "Rick Ray like" results.
