Watching Finebaum on ESPN right now...talking about Saban and Bama...he is saying that he believes Bama's 2 coordinators will be gone in the next couple of days...

Your thread title is way off from what you just posted.

Serious question, what happened with all of the college jobs O'Brien was supposed to be a candidate for? Of course we don't know how accurate the reports were, but I read him mentioned as a candidate for Nebraska, Wisconsin, ASU and Ga Tech..

What makes you think O'Brien is interested in being a college HC again?? Have seen nothing that suggests that.

Pure speculation would be my guess. As others have noted, we have no idea if he wants to be a college HC again? As he plainly stated when he took the PSU job, the NFL is the pinnacle of the profession. My guess is he would much rather be back there.

Yes. From a certain subset of the fan base that can’t move forward.
What the heck you insinuating,
the majority of our alumni and fan base very much appreciate the dedication of our team members and Bill O'Brian's coaching staff during those dark days. I was disappointed when he left, but not angry at him or his family, at least his wife ,Colleen, had a first class hospital for treatment of her and Bill's son.
Have always like O'Brien, wish him and family well.

He did say a subset. Which is true.

Bob wants to be a pro head coach with personnel authority.
I'm not sure that'll happen with what he did in Houston. He'll be lucky to get an NFL OC job next year. Is Bellichick ready to take him back?
