....5 new SEC openings in the men's basketball ranks, I did a simple rank in my mind of who I would have preferred at MSU. Of course everyone had their favorite horse, but these were mine at the time. Seems like many of us wanted McMahon if I remember right. And our old former AD at MSU jumped in and got Golden first. Should be interesting to see after about 5 seasons who is still at their respective schools and how they've collectively performed to that point.

1) Todd Golden
2) Chris Jans
3) Matt McMahon
4) Dennis Gates
5) Lamont Paris

Honestly, I think all of those five did pretty well. Mizzou had some key injuries this year and that’s killed them.

The worst hire that year is one you didn’t mention, Georgia inexplicably hiring Mike White away from Florida who wanted him gone. That guy just is not a very good coach.
