Bailey and Gauthier in the portal

I imagine he probably will. (I hate to see kids jerked around position-wise by coaches. It doesn’t seem to work a lot of times, and ends up wasting the kid’s time/eligibility).
Honestly, Bailey and Gauthier should have gone before now to give themselves better options/time to catch on with another school for some meaningful time. That being said, I wish them both luck - will be interested to see where they end up - and thank them for being Gamecocks!!

I don't like that. Yes, he'll be back. But at some point we have to build real depth in skill positions. Move him back to QB, then a WR goes down. Now what? We have to go get a portal QB now. Just a matter of if it's a grad transfer type for depth, or a KJ type that will actually compete.
Don't we have like 30 WR on the roster?
We **should** be able to get a decent 3-deep from the sheer numbers we have there, allowing Doty back to the QB room full time. If WR-Doty is better than 90% of the WR room, either Stepp or WR evaluations (or both) are complete failures.Well, Doty played more than a lot of them!! I love KJ but I nope he doesn't come here. This needs to be LaNorris' team moving forward and he has too much talent to ride the bench another five minutes. We need quality backups to Sellers and KJ won't settle for being a backup. I've never felt Doty had the passing accuracy but I could be wrong. He's had two years to observe Spencer and that may have polished his skillset.
Yeah, I don't feel like these departures are much of a talent hit. Just depth.
