Truly sad. Anyone who buys one of these needs to get their nose broken. Call me when you win something that counts.

I'm just glad the SOB's started losing games last year, so I didn't have to see anymore of those damn signs with "In Saban We Trust." Douches.

That's kind of like the rebels sharing the Western Division Championship with LSU and writing a book about Rutruning to Glory.

Funny......

Yeah recruiting rankings don't matter anymore since they have the Nutt...

He will lead them to the top of the SEC.

He will coach up all of O's thoroughbreds.

I still can't get used to seeing Nutt at UM. It's friggin' unnatural.

If I fear the future, it's from visions of a Blade-Runner-esque dystopian world partly run by robots. Or maybe in the future, the once heralded 'Bama recruits turn into bitter young men serving as the authoritarian muscle in a houndstoothed jockocracy.

Bama would still only be 14-16 agains their biggest rival since the Bear died.

travel back in time to 1988 and singlehandedly prevent the brick from crashing through Bill Curry's living room window.

Back to the Future!

Me and you both. Seeing him at our events and practices wearing Ole Miss gear is a bit odd. When you spend 10 years hating a guy, it's tough to welcome him to your side.

And for those making the knocks about O, I quit buying into recruiting rankings after following our 2006 recruiting class. Many of the best players out of that class that was so hyped were the ones that weren't receiving all the recruiting hype. That did it for me. I don't care what you tell me about my recruiting class in February. Just let me know how good they really are 2-3 years later.

The sleeves have not been cut off. I doubt any Bama fans will buy it

I think it's safe to say there's a vast difference in bragging about recruiting rankings and having an effing T-shirt proclaiming an actual recruiting championship.

We all know two things:

1. Recruiting rankings don't necessarily mean a whole lot - but can.

2. Everybody would rather have a ranked recruiting class than an unranked recruiting class.

So, let's throw out all the ******** about recruiting rankings and quit acting like one fanbase treats them any differently than the other.

Besides, why hijack a perfectly funny thread to bash Bruiser for the millionth time when you've got a Bama T-shirt proclaiming their recruiting superiority? That is hilarious.

Why on the occasions that posters on this board dare question Ole Miss athletics or not engage in endless threads bemoaning our situation do we get referred to as being on par with Gene's Page? That is extremely childish and played out. This isn't an Ole Miss board, it's a State board, and as such we aren't obligated to talk nice about Ole Miss all the time. It's possible for us to take a critical stance on something related to Ole Miss or be positive about MSU without being the equivalent of Gene's Page.

So when they've got nothing, they just throw that one out. There's a few UM and MSU fans that use it sometimes (and sometimes it's appropriate). But it is overused.

will buy it.

UA athletics gets a ton of money from their "rabid" fans bent on buying ANYTHING that's crimson and white. It doesn't matter what the product is, they'll buy it. You could put the a Crimson Tide logo on hygeine products and the Bama fans would buy them.

bama's t-shirt into a thread bashing om for putting up the div. champs banner = genespagish. There is nothing wrong w/ being pro-msu or even bashing om on a state board, but when you start stretching for opportunities to bash om, you remind me of the place i only go for comic relief.

is turning a thread about Bama into a thread about Ole Miss, which has been totally overblown by the way. The things I do think of are: sunshiners that say being critical hurts our teams because the players read the board; posters that suggest we can lose a recruit based on what is posted on that board; posters that say we hurt a coach's wife's feelings based on what is posted; rumors being deleted and then turning out to at least be partially true; people being bashed and banned for daring to question our coaches; use of nicknames for various schools and coaches, such as Ole Piss, UManning, O'no, etc; interviews with recruits in which they are asked what toppings they like on their pizza; the insinuation by a certain poster that he will pull his support from the baseball program if we hire someone that once worked at Ole Miss. I never realized that GP was mostly known for taking an unrelated thread and making it about Ole Miss, which is again a stretch in comparing to this thread considering it was commented on by a couple of posters and you can see a relation.

I certainly didn't realize we needed Reb approval. After all, you have your own board. I don't come over there telling you guys that your board is "Spirit-ish".

Why do you care if we make fun of Ole Miss on a State board? I don't see Bama fans running over here because we were making fun of Bama.

Either laugh along or move along.

I swear, Ole Miss has THE most sensitive fans in the SEC.

putting a silhouette of the Bear on something. If you want to get Bama fans to flock towards something, slap the image of the Bear on it. It's like they get horny over it.

if you choose to take a critical stance on Ole Miss. I just think it's stupid to take a thread about Bama and turn it into a thread about Ole Miss. I come here often because I find a lot of the posts interesting. I generally ignore Ole Miss-related threads unless it is someone asking a question of Reb lurkers or if I think it's too stupid not to respond to - in which case my good friend from Huntsville and I get into internet slap fights until we grow bored.

I agree the Gene's Page thing is worn out. I'll quit using that. It's just the first thing that popped in my mind.

On another note, isn't the whole "jump all over RebelBruiser" thing a little played out as well? I read what the guy posts on here and, while he obviously said some stupid **** a while back to start this whole thing you guys have with him, the vast majority of his posts are pretty effing innocent as of late. In fact, I get the feeling he goes out of his way not to be a homer these days. If it's still fun to turn every comment he makes (Ole Miss-related or not) into a 3-page-long thread ripping the guy to shreds, then more power to you. It just seems to have gotten old in my opinion.

Actually, i don't care what are recruiting class is ranked, as long as we win games, as opposed to a ranked recruiting class and an 0-8 sec record.

</p>what's so hard about believeng that i would want my team to win games? win or lose? answer seems pretty obvious to me.

We are sucking right now in baseball and they are having a decent season. The problem existed in football season when we had a 8 win season and they had a 3 win season. It wasn't just him either. Everything was cool when we sucked or both schools sucked, but let us have a good season alongside them sucking and the claws came out.
