If they had voted on this poll Friday morning we wouldn’t have even gotten a vote. Wild to have us at 16.Wow, I think 16 is a little ambitious at this point. The next two weeks will reveal a lot about this team.

Yep give it 3 weeks.D1 has the Dawgs at 21. 16 feels way too high after spending the first month of the season struggling against the Blind Sister's of the Poor. For me at least it comes down to how over-ranked you think LSU is. I think they have talent, but are in for a lot struggles over the next few weeks. Just like us, LSU's conference schedule is absolutely brutal over the next few weeks. We should learn a lot more about both teams over the next couple of conference weekends.
Humpin' to Please.Are we #RollHumps at 24?

Nothing impressive about that... LSU is 29.
We are 20 plus games into the season and have yet to play a top 25 RPI opponent... that changes this week..
Not sure what your trying to say... but at this point, it’s all about winning SEC games. We need 15 wins.
The SEC brings everybody back to earth. Especially these days.
TAMU goes to 10-6 Florida at 17-0 and comes home 18-2.
Auburn loses 3 in Nashville.
We could actually play pretty well the next two weekends on the road and still be 4-5 in the league after a 2-1 start. In fact I'd take it right now.

You do know that RPI absolutely sucks as a metric, right?
That's a lot of data that sucks.
Yep. No road teams won the series this weekend. Which is why Sunday was key for us. Give it about 3-4 weeks. Let those home and road series even out, and then you'll have an idea.
We've got to avoid the bad stretches, find ways to not get swept against the tough teams, and win the home series's. Gotta shore up our starting pitching. LSU's offense is very much middle of the pack in the SEC, and we didnt exactly dominate them
But the NCAA uses it as a major tool to evaluate teams. So even if it sucks, its important to be ranked highly there.
But its not being moved away from baseball yet.... coaches and ADs want to move from it.. but its not. They say they do, but anybody with sense knows how flawed it is. It's being moved away from everywhere possible.
Middle of the pack SEC means you're a national title contender.
And we beat them 15-5 and 10-4 with a one run loss. What exactly is domination?
You arnt completely wrong, however, RPI doesn’t look at that. RPI looks at the asshooping we slapped on those ratbastards.Thats why I said 15 wins is key.
Our pitching staff didnt dominate LSU hitters. We'll face much tougher offenses in the SEC than LSU. That was the reference. No starter went 10 innings combined. 6.23 era. 23 walks on the weekend. Isnt going to cut it.
But any series that ends up 2-1 and not in a sweep... wasnt dominated.... period.
RPI doesn't consider scores. Only wins, losses and home/away/neutral. A 2-1 win is the same as a 20-1 win.You arnt completely wrong, however, RPI doesn’t look at that. RPI looks at the asshooping we slapped on those ratbastards.

14 of the 16 host last season were ranked inside the top 16 RPI wise. The other two were 17 and 19.
RPI is key. Even if it sucks

Ahhh, it’s good to be hated againI think I understand why everybody hates the SEC. Team in the 80s RPI wins a series over a team ranked #2 and instead of that team dropping out of the top 10, the other other team goes from not even receiving votes to #16.
