For those of you that follow this stuff…Do we have the pitching staff to really compete in the SEC and beyond this year? I know we have big bats, but just curious if you experts think we have the full team to get back to that certain place.
FWIW: The only thing this board knows about pitching is they can’t hit it.For those of you that follow this stuff…Do we have the pitching staff to really compete in the SEC and beyond this year? Agree, bullpen will be a key to our success! We don't have complete game starters as a rule, maybe on occasion. We have the potential. Until Sanders gets more consistent, we will need our bullpen to sustain. It's still a long season.
Not necessarily singling out Sanders, I'm sure other starters will hit that bump in the road.
Bottom line, I'm hoping our bullpen continues to get stronger.
Ah, about the time we lost Bordenick & Marchbanks.Actually this year’s pitching is probably deeper than Tanner’s 2004 team and they ended up winning the sec tournament, as well as going on to the CWS. Not saying they will win the sec or go to the CWS this year, but quality pitching depth shouldn’t be an issue
Bordo graduated in 1998.Ah, about the time we lost Bordenick & Marchbanks.
