Their pitcher is dealing. Our pitchers are little off. Credit to CLT's bats, they hit sharply. We'll get past their starter, hopefully not too late to come back.
Jerzembeck was not sharp against Georgia. I think that is why he started tonight. Coach wanted to get him some work. Unfortunately for Jerzembeck I think this is going to move him down. He's got to get his mojo back.
He had some issues with the ump's calls. Probably pissed at himself and his defense as well. Regardless, his emotions got the best of him and it showed. Couldnt find a rhythm.

Yeah kinda weird. We're doing ok drawing walks but we dont seem content to just base hit. Kinda all or nothing but we'll walk. Lol
I hope a few learned a lesson or two as well. Like when you down by a lot and it's late in the game, your leadoff batter doesnt necessarly need to knock the cover off the ball.
A loss, and nobody called for Kingston to be fired.
That has been a gripe of mine for some time. We leave guys in too long, mainly because we don't have anyone in the bullpen when trouble starts showing.
I gave Kingston credit for punching all the right buttons in a win. Gotta call him out on this one. I don't understand tinkering with the lineup in the midst of such a great run. LeCroy should have been in the starting lineup!
I see your point, but I would say Braswell getting the start at third was a nice reward after his game winning rbi in Athens and your freshman stud that has looked pretty darn good so far this year is due a bad outing, all in all I’m ok with a loss up there, it’s going to happen, a good learning moment for sure though heading into Mizzou, lets them know they’re not unbeatable! We did still hit a little, strikeouts are concerning though.
I just hope he doesn't start tinkering with the lineup a lot, as he has in the past. Give guys rest during the week, but our starting 9 needs to be pretty much in stone on the weekends, barring injury.
Agree giving Braswell a reward. In hindsight dont think we did him any favors putting him at third. Put him at short, Wimmer at 2nd and Mcgillis at 3rd. Braswell has a comfort issue and I dont think playing at 3rd helped. That aside, his swing is still too big and he's antsy in his appearance. Always on edge. Either they fix it or get him in the game when the game is out of hand from here on out imo.
Amazing arm and will just get better, but I think there is a more seasoned veteran that would be a better option, now.

Personally I enjoy talking baseball... where we can improve (you can always improve), what looks good, what doesnt. Second guessing, what we'd do differently and all that stuff. Baseball stuff.
... or we could just talk about how great we are I suppose.

Yeah guilty! My name was actually a baseball reference. Thought I'd change it up here since I've retired from coaching since creating that account.
Enjoy reading your posts too. A lot of others here as well. Funny thing about baseball, there are so many ways to do things and so many different philosophies... it's good to get everyone's thoughts.
I would go back to the line up that got ya to 20-1 and not change it til you have a good reason.
Streaks are funny that way.

I would go with Brewer or Tippet over Stone . Maybe lean with Tippet the switch hitter.
Because you don't change the lineup when you are 20-1 unless there is a good reason to do so.
