Hitless through 4. Started yesterday's game hitless through 4 as well.

Everything has been inconsistent the last few weeks.... hitting and pitching. Team was hitting on all cylinders in all three phases for first 3/4 of season. It's pretty simple, just have to play better and play like they're capable.

Having entire lineup and pitching staff would help too.... need Messina back, and even though Sanders hasn't been great, would sure like to have him. Losing Noah Hall was really big and then losing and extra arm in Jerzembeck sucks too.

Man, this is hard to watch. A&M is not very good at all. Our pitching has just completely gone to ****. Can't hit a basketball at this point. Really hard to imagine this happening. We've gone from teams thinking they had to score 10 to beat us to being confident 4 is enough.

A lot of this, I would say most of this, is mental. This team is a head case

One constant in the Kingston era… there are significant periods of just unwatchable baseball. I knew we’d lose today before the game started.

Dang if we ain't getting burnt when we're too shallow in the outfield. And dang if we ain't getting burnt when we are too deep. Someone's analytics are a little off.

As many people have noted, analytics make you predictable.

Baseball's such a weird game. You see it so often where an entire team that is playing well suddenly goes cold. Not sure how you explain it. How a whole team that is mashing the ball suddenly can't hit a beach ball.

For us to have a batted ball the opponent's pitcher has to hit our bat, because the bat ain't moving from our shoulder.
Would love to see the team stat on called strikes for the year.
If we win a game in the regional, the other team will have collapsed.

Very Muschampian.
Yes, feels very similar except I viewed last year as the 2-8 season.

I hate it because there’s a nice core of sophomores plus Tippett who are quality players. I assume most would hit the portal if Kingston takes a hike. It’s just not good enough on a consistent basis for our baseball program.

... because its like having an instruction book to follow. Absolutely predictable... and the ultimate cop out. It's like if I screw up, the numbers were with me... so go pound sand.

There are some nice players on the team. Nice players get you on the bubble for hosting. Elite players are needed. We've got two in the field (Petry/Messina), and none on the pitching staff. We don't have enough talent to compete at a high level.

Yep, analytics is the get out of jail free card. "Well, in that situation, the numbers said to _______ so that's what we did."

Goodness. Yesterday we at least showed a little life and gave the illusion of putting up a fight for a couple innings.

Diddly squat today. Don't even look like we want to be there.

We ain’t exactly getting hot at the right time.
The only bat in our lineup is Petry, and he's a different player than he was a month ago. Per perfect game, the last top 10 class we had was 2020. There are 3 players from that class that contribute: Sanders, Mahoney, Austin. We got ZERO field players out of that class. Some other notable year rankings:

2018 - 20
2019 - 28
2021 - 20
2022 - 20
2023 - 24
2024 - 22

I know transfers figure in as well, but this just isn't good enough.

Bat on the shoulder, again.
We have to lead the nation in called strikes and maybe called 3rd strikes.

Time for Casas to sit. You can see it on his face. Reminds me of Nick Ebert. Started white hot, then just fell off a cliff in conference play.

That last at bat by Casas.

Bases loaded, two outs. Did he just watch three pitches for strikes?

I'm not sure about that. We got some players. I think this a mostly a mental breakdown, and a management failure.
