Melendez is States best all around guard.
Good job winning a neutral site rock fight. Bad offense. Good enough defense. We were the better team down the stretch. Melendez was a highlight.
I like that we are deep enough that if players stink it up, Jans says enjoy the damn bench for the rest of the game

We had 16 points in the first 17 minutes and then the 3 point firm of Harris & Hubbard knocked in 4 three pointers in 2 minutes to make us look like a basketball team.

It was just another one of those early-season games that I hate. Come March, we won't care about anything but the final score, just getting a win.
Every time we have one of those games, I remember sitting in the crowd for the Arkansas State just before Christmas 1995 and New Year 1996.
Except that there are two other games between Pitt and Memphis for a total of three 'trap" games between Pitt and Memphis.

I was at that game. THE guy for ASU went on to a decent career in the NBA. The reaction to it was typical MSU: We sucked and we were done forever as a basketball school. As fans we absolutely SUCK.

I was there. When we went online to buy tickets, it only showed a few sections that still had seating available. I was expecting a large turnout, but it was less than half full. Ridiculous.
