Tried to describe what’s meant in the story. It’s not just LBs competing against other LBs, or TEs competing against other TEs. Arnett is evaluating if we’d be better off with a four man front or 3-3-5. So LBs are also battling against DEs. TEs battling to prove they’d be better than a fourth receiver, etc.
