And we were doing OK until LA Tech got the lead. We changed the game plan when LA Tech got the lead. We quit getting the ball to Dixon. I don't know why the game plan and our motivation escaped when Tech took a 2 point lead.

that's why. These types of turnovers and quitting after falling behind demonstrate a lack of preparation.

We don't have a clue what we're doing on offense and that was maybe the worst display of special teams I've seen in my life. We hit for the ****** cycle by having a kickoff out of bounds, a 16-yard punt and lost fumbles on a kickoff return and a punt return. And the only special teams break we got was when a 25-yard punt hit the guy blocking our gunner in the back.

I was real pleased with our defense through 3 quarters, but they either quit or wore down (or some of both) in the 4th.

and I'm still severly pissed at our ridiculous coaching, but how motivated can a team be to go into Ruston for the 1st game? I mean, seriously, how many teams have had to do anything similar to that? Nebraska went they went to Southern and got beat?

We should have won this game on talent and sound coaching.

the 30-yd line drive that McAdams hit at the end of the second half, allowing LaTech an opportunity to run it back to the 15 yard line or so. Both the offense and defense were inconsistent last night, but the special teams was atrocious. One of the worst overall displays I have ever seen.

Also, what was up with not kicking a field goal from the 18-yd line in the second half? We ended up scoring a TD so that's great, but it makes you wonder about Croom's confidence in our kickers.

A Carlson kickoff gave them the ball at the 40. After 1 first down, they punt and down it inside the 1-yard line, then McAdams hits that booming punt that they return down to the 15. That series of plays was huge in the outcome of the game.

And you're not the only one to notice Croom going for it on 4th and 2 from the 18. That was just the latest in a long line of boneheaded coaching decisions by him. He was lucky it turned out OK when we got the TD.

If you really think the possibility of a lack of motivation to go into Rustin played into the loss in any way you really need to wake up!

The players should not care one bit about who or where they are playing. The football field is the exact same dimensions as any other football field, the rules are the same, the score is counted the same. They should have been motivated just fine to go in an smash some heads and win a ball game.

There was no pride in being a bulldog last night, no swagger of being the more talented team. Just a big lack of effort from all players and a poor job by the coaches to identify it and change it before kick off.

SEC fans get fired up for football in March and count down the f'n days till kickoff. You mean to tell me the guys that actually PLAY the damn game need motivation to go out and win their first game of the season? Come on, you don't really believe that **** do you? I don't care if we were playing Prairie View at Jackson Prep's stadium, our team should have been ready to knock some f'n skulls in last night. The result from last night tells me that we have a coaching staff full of pussies that after 5 years, STILL doesn't know how to compete in the SEC.

GO TO HELL CROOMS AND TAKE YOUR ****** COACH FRIENDS WITH YOU TO THE RETIREMENT HOME!!!!</p>
