South Carolina is adding a longtime NFL assistant to its staff.
Sean Ryan, who spent last season as the quarterbacks coach for the Carolina Panthers, has been hired by head coach Shane Beamer, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to The State.
Phil Kornblut of SportsTalk Media first reported the move.
Ryan spent almost half of his 16 years in the NFL with the New York Giants. There, he worked as an offensive quality control coach, receivers coach and quarterbacks coach between 2007 and 2015. He went on to roles with the Houston Texans, Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers.
