In his midweek presser, Beamer said they didn't do much with the OL in the bye week and plan to run the same personnel out there b/c it's hard on the OL when you keep switching people in and out. Don't recall his exact wording, but basically it was just hope that they execute and play better.

Doesn't sound very optimistic.

Well, we've kind of tried everyone at this point. He's right, the only way they're going to get better now is more reps together.

Dang. Now I kinda feel like we're wasting a year of Tree and Trovon. I mean, it is what it is, but..... Hopefully they will benefit from this experience. Hopefully they can anchor, and be the experience needed in the OL next year and moving forward (and hopefully our incoming linemen do as well right off the bat as they have as FR).

They will much better next year for this experience than if they hadn't played. I think next year you're looking at Tree, Tro, Anderson, Henry, and Lee and feeling pretty good about that scenario.

Hope is not a strategy. But it's all you got when you think they're the best 5.
No, the strategy has been recruit the hell out of the OL and add some transfers as a stop gap. The recruiting piece has been outstanding so far. Nick G has been good. Fugar, not so much. Then 3 starters go down and you're screwed.

The best thing for an OL is continuity. I am only saying this because I played the position at a high level and the best thing you can do is get the best 5 and let them gel and find an identity.

Not playing in front of 100,000+ screaming Tennessee fans should hopefully help too.

Maybe keeping the players out with injury under 75% next year might help.
Really don't expect much better next year.
2025 should be better and juice should be back by then.

Juice in 2025? Didn’t he almost go pro after last season?
