Sad losing too many! Like the old Yardbirds stuff but my favorite Jeff Beck is the cover of “People Get Ready” with Rod Stewart on vocals. A very moving song - awesome guitar & vocals. RIP.

When I was at USC in 1975, Blow by Blow came out and it was being played on the Horse Shoe at about every party I went to. You could hear it from dorm rooms walking around campus. I had been listening to it on Spotify over the last year. What a great guitarist and song writer. The greatest music generation from the 60s and 70s are quickly leaving us. Very sad.

For whatever reason I never got into Jeff Beck, I will check these out. Thanks

RIP Mr. Beck

You might have heard that coming from my dorm room. ;) Playing it loud was the only way to listen to it.

Yes! I'm sure I did. I lived on the Shoe the year of 1975 across the yard from the Presidents House. One of my roommates had a band and he knew all the good bands and locations so I was really tapped in. To this day, the Left Guard on Rosewood had some of the best bands I ever saw. The old Campus Club had an occasional good band. There was one band that played at the Campus Club a lot and did a good bit of Led Zeppelin. The lead guitarist could nail Whole Lotta Love which ain't easy to do.
