How do we know this? I'm not saying it's incorrect, but where is it documented?

True or not (I saw it on Facebook, so, taken with a grain of salt), I saw that Lanorris’s 2.7mill is more than Rattler’s rookie per yr contract. And yeah, it’s all nuts.

May have been an unreliable source but I read an article where collective will be coming to and end. There will be profit sharing for all athletes (weighted towards revenue sports). All football players on a team would be paid equally.

In addition, true NIL deals would have to be run through a national clearing house for a approval / legitimacy. It wouldn't be perfect. It would give teams with big boosters that own businesses an advantage, but it would clean up the current pay for play / collective.

That all sounds good. But do you trust a "national clearing house" to be effective and fair in limiting third party NIL deals? I don't.

I don't either but do you have a better solution given that NIL is here to stay? A regional clearing house, conference clearing house or no clearing house at all? Would that be better?

I think most of us agree that the current transfer rules and the collectives need to change / be abolished. NIL isn't going away. In my opinion, this sounds like a reasonable solution. I'm sure it won't be perfect but...

The fact that Beck will have a 2025 Salary higher than 11 starting QBs is technically true, but it doesn't take into account QB signing bonuses which make their compensation packages far greater. The signing bonuses are spread over the life of an NFL player's contract for the purpose of a team's Salary Cap Hit. For example Hurts will have 1.1 Salary for 2025, but he will also receive over 40 Million in Signing, Roster, and Option Bonuses that are spread over the life of the Contract.

I just want to know who really knows? Without authentication, these are just random numbers to me.
Too many people reporting these numbers for them all to be wrong. However there is sorta a fire buy right now due to the impending rule changes in June. There is some thought it will limit pay of play greatly .

The best idea I can come up with is limiting the transfers. Like making them sit out a year. I think that would keep a lot of players stationary.

I just think the NIL deal is out of the bag, and it can't be put back in. We complained for years about the ncaa bungling the transfer exemption deal, i see ZERO ability by them to control 3rd party NIL deals.

The only real thing to help will probably be giving up the idea that these guys are students, make them sign contracts and have collective bargaining. Let me tell you how excited I am about that.

Maybe it's just me but he does not look to me to being a $4 million QB. He won't have near the talent surrounding him at Miami than he had at UGA.

I was never enamored with his play either. I am very curious to see how he handles being on a team without massive talent.

And what is THEIR source? They are a reporting arm. I want to know what authoritative entities disseminate this information.
I do not possess the resources to ascertain their source of this information. Perhaps you should direct your question directly to The Athletic.

Beck never impressed me. He consistently throws behind the receiver or throws high so the receiver has to jump to make a circus catch. He is also an interception machine. Bowers and McConkey made him look a lot better than he really is.

If that's true how much money is Garnet Trust raking in from fans? A bunch of guys have gotten deals.

Revenue sharing is coming, but that's not going to end the collectives. The collectives are going to be the gravy on top that compensates the bigger names more, just like they're doing now.

I'm not a subscriber, but since you have access to the article, if you will kindly provide a link, I will email the author. I mean, how can anyone have any faith in these "reports"? https://www.si.com/onsi/athlete-lifestyle/business/carson-beck-real-miami-football-salary-revealed-not-4-million#:~:text=Of course not.&text=But it was close.,a little over" $3 million.
