Only 7 Lions will exhaust their eligibility this season: PJ Mustipher, Ji’Ayir, Jonathan Sutherland, Mitchell Tinsley, punter Barney Amor, long snapper Chris Stoll and Sean Clifford.
Now some are likely to leave for the NFL like Joey Porter. But it's nice to see the whole Oline can return if they want. With more top recruits coming in next year finally getting some depth. PSU has a chance to be very strong next year. Didn't realize that have so many returning starters.

I expect the following to depart. I don't have any specific reasons to pick these players.

Christian Veillieux - Tr
Jimmy Christ - Tr
Curtis Jacobs - NFL (?)
Malick Meiga - Tr
Keyvone Lee - Tr
Smith Vilbert- Tr

There may be others, especially a couple of guys who may make a shot at the NFL (Wallace and Fashanu for example) But thinking these guys might go.

I think ur transfers are probably correct. Curtis Jacob's needs another year of consistent play and weight room work.

There will also be many of the other seniors who only have their Covid year left that are going to be asked to move on with their life’s work during their end of season meeting with the staff

I'll go ahead and say it without any support whatsoever other than body language on TV and what I see Kaytron starting to do as the season goes on, I hope Singleton is here next year.

I would understand Veilluex and Lee. Not sure why the others would depart. Jacobs is not NFL ready. Porter is but neither is Wallace. They would get chump change and be out of the league quick. Fashanu has to if he is a top #5 pick. At 20, he can finish his 2 semesters later. Pinegar should return as well as he is beginning to pick up his game.

Because the other guys will get buried on the depth chart.

I am taking a guess at Jacobs. I think he could use another year.....but if he gets certain people in his ear....who knows.

I also think Parker Washington might take a look at the NFL.

I don't see him leaving. One overlooked positive for both the freshman running backs sharing reps is their longevity. RB's take a pounding that can often shorten careers. If Franklin is smart he is selling this point to both of them.

Fashanu is gone if project as 1st or second round Pinegar, Ellies, Strange, Isaac, Katshir, Tarburton, Scruggs, Effner, and Beamon could all declare or enter the portal likely with one of the QBs. Anyone with a 3rd round grade or higher will leave.

Franklin is completely honest and if he sees them getting buried on the depth chart, they might look to the MAC etc.

third round money is 850K. Even as an old man, I think that's an incentive to move on from college. Sometimes next year doesn't' come in football.

Not quite $850…..agent 3%, state income tax and then federal north of 30%….then theres taking care of family….not much left if you think about it especially if they dont make it three years.

I understand all that. We are looking at it from a much different perspective, however, A great deal depends on their family situation. Also, remember the days we thought "we'd fight but never lose?" I think today all these 4 star guys are convinced they will have long careers in the NFL. Failure will only visit others.
