Tony Morrell, from another gamecock site, does a guest spot on the local Tiger radio show every Tuesday at 8.

Today, he stated his surprise that Bell is leaving because according to his understanding, Bell would return "as long as Satterfield was gone".

Going off memory, since it was on the radio as I drove, but was surprised he would openly discuss players leaving being dependant on getting rid of Satterfield. (And then he leaves anyway)

Ha, true.

I started a new one more for the idea that players were openly discussing leaving if Satterfield wasn't gotten rid of. (Granted, he then left anyway) I wonder how many other players let this be known?

Why is everyone so sure that he wasn’t asked to enter the portal. The guy and family had become a cancer. He is a tweener who isn’t a good enough blocker for a TE, doesn’t run routes like a receiver, doesn’t have to vision of a RB. He did all that ok, but excelled only in being a fantastic athlete.

His mother's meddling may end up with him moving in after failing to get drafted if she doesn't back off a bit.

Well, for one, I would never in a million years get rid of a coach to satisfy a player, if that was even true in this situation. As bad as Satterfield was, and he largely was, no player should get to make such demands.

Agreed.

But (and we'll never know), what if it was more players? Is there a number where it becomes obvious the coach is the issue?

Satt left of his own accord. I feel pretty confident in saying he was not told to leave. I heard there was a mother meddling, but I didn't know whose until now. so I guess no bowl for Bell as well?
